Great experience - Did both the Free Walking Tour and the Communist tour on the same day, highly recommend both! Very informative and well organised, I had Jovana for both tours and she is an amazing guide, extremely passionate and knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all questions. She was also extremely helpful with recommendations for other things to do in/around Belgrade. Huge thanks and would definitely go with Belgrade Walking Tours in the future!

Words from Milan, the tour guide, were from his real experience. - Words from Milan, the tour guide, were from his real experience. I can not imagen what political system change means as I have never experienced in my 57 years of life, while he has seen several changes in just 33 years of life. His tour encourages the tour members to compare their own lives, politicla system, history to that of Serbia. Discussion with a couple of tour members after the tour at the nearest bar to the goal point was about our political system. That was really interesting.

Informative tour and the guide answered all my questions attentively - I want to thank my guide Milan for very informative tour. As I was the only person, it turned into sort of a private tour and he answered all my questions about the communist era and left no blank space in my mind. We started from Yugoslavia Museum, where you see lots of about Yugoslavia and Tito. However, Milan also explained what was missing and he was true to the facts and historical realities. It was never one sided and that's something you should look for in a tour. Then we stopped at parliament, hotel Moskva and finally the oldest graffiti in town. I would highly recommend the tour.

Commmunist tour Belgrade - Interesting tour, with a very well informed and passionate tourguide Milan, who had extensive knowledge of the history of former Yougoslavia and the collapse after the death of Tito. Milan explained both sides of the story objectively although personal experiences were involved. The tour was set for three hours but lasted 1 1/2 hours longer due to the extensive info told by Milan All in all a little long may be but surely worthwhile!

Please Just Keep It to Communism For Now - Serbia needs to come to terms with its past. This excellent tour went off the rails when the story reached the end of communism. Everyone who visits Belgrade should visit Srebrenica (for at least 8,372 reasons).

Use Belgrade Free Tours (orange umbrella) DO NOT use Belgrade Walking Tours (yellow umbrella) - I did the free zemum walking tour with Belgrade Walking Tours (yellow umbrella) and I booked the communist tour with them. The guide for both was Michael (mikhail). He was aggressive and throughout the tour he demandec tips from everyone. At the end he confronted each person insisting that he wants his tips. His behaviour and attitude was quite shocking and unprofessional. He then informed me that he has decided for the Communist tour he wont be visiting any of the places on the stated itinerary. He will only be doing the Yugoslavia museum. I booked and paid for the tour to see everything on the itinerary. Because of this I cancelled my booking for the Communist tour. The Zemun tour was boring and he didnt show us anything. It was just a walk around. I DO NOT recommend Belgrade Walking Tours (yellow umbrella) for either of these tours. There is another group called Belgrade Free tours (orange umbrella) that do walking tours of the city centre and another tour called Hisotry and heritage. Both guides on these tours were very knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoyed these two tours with Belgrade Free Tours.
