Guides are located throughout the country and only travel to the caves for reserved tours, so early booking is advised. The cave tubing takes place at the archaeological site known as Nohoch Che’en. It’s an easy and enjoyable family adventure led by an excellent guide. The park features restaurants, a spacious parking area, and modern restroom facilities. The guide provides helmets, lights, personal flotation devices, and tubes. The adventure begins with a 25-minute walk through the forest, where the guide points out diverse plant life, wildlife, and shares local customs and folklore. At the cave entrance, enjoy a refreshing swim and take plenty of photos. The guide then leads the group as the tubes float down the river, pausing to highlight cave formations and stopping by a waterfall for a splash and more photos. After exiting the caves, the float continues for another twenty minutes, allowing participants to enjoy the sounds of birds, the wind rustling through the trees, and the sunlight. The tour concludes at the parking lot.
