We ride at dawn! - Not all of us were convinced that we were horseback riders, but this was an incredible experience all around! Imagine riding horses through the jungles of Belize ( ok, some was on the road to the jungle, but we don't let facts get in the way of a good story, do we?), when off in the distance you can see a pyramid towering over the trees 4 km away! The jungle is full of flowers in full bloom, and the scents of citrus fruits and allspice. My horse was fond of the local grasses and stopped by his buffet often. Just a nudge from me was all that he needed to get going again. Our guides were very experienced, the horses were the best we have ever ridden (we aren't riders, but still...), the ruins were truly spectacular and way better than the photos, to top it all off with a swim by the waterfalls was just icing on the cake. I've used way too many superlatives here but I really was stunned by it all. This was the best all day tour: riding, loads of stairs, lunch was delicious and simple(chicken, rice with beans coleslaw and juice), very informative guides and even a terrific swim on a hot day. If you are fit and love to be active, it's worth it!

Horseback Riding tour at rancho - Nice way to spend time in San Ignacio, even if you are not an experienced hourse rider. Rancho is quite big(really big) and green, hourses were well trained, Carla picked us up from our hotel and brought us back after. Toby the horse was a very good boy, totally aware of the job he was doing, I mean - I was not even telling him much what to do:)
