With family - Nice visit, easy to access, very friendly staff, very peculiar castle, I recommend it for family or couples.

Educational in a fun way! - Very nice tour! The guide was very enthusiastic and funny! She spoke good English. The tour lasted just long enough given the heat.

Christopher Columbus castle - We passed this via taxi from airport and decided to visit whilst staying and we wasn’t disappointed. We got the 121 bus from the Puerto marina and the fare was €3.50 (€1.75 each) to the old town BENALMADENA PUEBLO had a look around the town and then a 20 minute walk to the castle ( downhill) when we got there it was €3 to get in or €2 if over 65. Views were loverly and the workmanship was excellent. We spent almost 2-3 hours there and there is a shop for food and drinks at reasonably prices. The chocolate a little step twice €2. Once done it takes longer to get back almost 45 minutes (up hill). Then you can get another bus to Mijas

Lovely monument with breathtaking surroundings. - Although I don't morally support the idea of Christopher discovering America,the place was a piece of art and a combination of puzzles that need solving.but our lovely bubbly lady guide Cynthia knew how to make the tour extremely interesting. And I appreciate the fact that a family from our group booked the wrong date but she was very understanding and welcome them in our group.it was a very interesting place to see.and the view from up top are amazing.the ivory for vultures is a nice bonus and being able to enjoy a can of Guinness while enjoying the views is a one off .

Interesting guided tour - Interesting guided tour. We got information we wouldn’t have got on our own. The castle was quirky and very interesting.

Not a real castle - This is not a real castle. More of a monument. The tour was well guided and the girl did her best to make a very mediocre “castle” as interesting as possible. The snack bar was pretty cool, but this “castle” seemed more like a prop that you might see at a nice playground for children.
