- Moodabidri - Proceed to Moodabidri, a 30-minute drive from Karkala. It is a significant hub of Jainism in India, often called Jain Kashi. The temple’s sanctum houses a large 8-foot idol of Lord Chandranatha Swami. The temple’s construction spanned 31 years.
After visiting the temple, explore a local bazaar in Moodabidri, where visitors from nearby areas purchase fruits, vegetables, spices, clothing, food items, and other daily necessities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to observe daily life in this region.
