Escape Adventures Downtown Bentonville MTB Tour is PERFECT! - Matty Rides and Matt Taylor were great hosts for our Church’s Youth Adventure program! They made sure every rider had a memorable experience. The two guide’s marvelously balanced all fitness levels so the faster riders weren’t getting bored and the more timid riders weren’t being pushed out of their comfort zone.

Single track mountain bike adventure in Bentonville Arkansas. - We brought a church youth group to Bentonville for this experience. Out guides Matty and Matt were amazing! They were knowledgeable, patient, and a lot of fun. With two guides, we were able to split the group and allow some of the more adventurous of the group to experience more difficult runs while the novices were still able to have a fun and challenging adventure.
The equipment was excellent and the trails were amazing! I would highly recommend this experience!

Awesome Day Trip - Matty was the best guide. This was a great activity for our family and all skill levels had a great time. Our guide also shared some great information about the area and it was so cool to experience Bentonville from a bicycle.

★★★★★ Holy Downhill (and Uphill) Thrill Ride, Batman ★★★★★ - My wife and I signed up for the Escape Adventures Tour’s half‑day mountain biking with zero experience, and it was hands‑down the most gloriously exhausting thing we’ve done in a hot minute.
Booking
Ridiculously easy. Book online (bentonvillebiketour.com), and you’re in. Also, it's a steal for the price. Forty‑eight hours before the tour, you get a friendly text confirming your pickup details. All you need to bring is “athletic shoes, clothes, and a smile.” -Matty 5/9/25. They bring everything else including bikes and helmets of course!
The Tour
We pedaled our way through Bentonville’s downtown, gorgeous forest trails, and around Crystal Bridges Museum —uphill, uphill, and… uphill. Was it tough? Yes. Is there something wildly exciting about staring at a downhill section and thinking, “Am I going to flip over my handlebars going down this!” In my case... also yes.
Guide Extraordinaire: Matty
Enter Matty, our guide and resident hype machine. This dude’s positivity radiates hotter than a midsummer Arkansas sidewalk. Seriously, I managed to launch myself over-the-bars (an "OTB" as they call it in the bike world), and before I could even fart, Matty was off his bike faster than an Alaskan-raised caffeinated paratrooper to make sure I was okay. I could have been nursing three broken ribs, and his “You got this!” pep talk still would’ve convinced me to crank out another 10 miles. Will this happen to you? No, probably not, unless you really "send it" down a hill and lock the front brakes. Don't be like me.
Hardest—and "Funnest"—Thing Ever
Between Matty’s encouragement and the relentless challenge of pedal‑powered (not electric! in my case) biking, this was by far the hardest and most fun thing we’ve done in ages. My quads are were sending me passive‑aggressive "I'm going to give out on you" vibes the rest of the day, but hey, those art pieces you pass, the downtown area, the "Masterpiece" (you'll find out what this is), the work out we got, Matty-the-Tour-Guide-Machine... so worth it.
If you’re even thinking about it, stop thinking—book it. You’ll laugh, you’ll sweat, you’ll probably not face‑plant and embarrass yourself in front of your partner, and you’ll walk away wondering why you ever waited so long. Kudos to Bentonville Bike Tour (Escape Adventures Bike Tours) and especially to Matty for turning two rookie riders into trail‑dominating legends—if only for a half‑day!
🚴♂️🚴♀️ “10/10 would recommend - even just to see our boy Matty.” 🚴♂️🚴♀️

Mountain Biking in Bentonvile - I had heard that Bentonville had great mountain biking trails and so I wanted to try them out, but I did not have a Mountain bike and did not know the area. So, I lined up a guide and I'm glad I did. Dakota was a great guide, really knew the area. and was helpful as I got used to the Mountain EBike. Unless you do a lot of Mountain Biking, you should definitely choose the EBike option. It allows you to cover a lot of terrain and some of the uphills are pretty steep. I'd highly recommend this tour and Dakota as a guide.

Canceled the night before - They canceled on me at 5:39pm the night before the tour I scheduled and thought was confirmed. I had to find a rental bike, but I think that worked out better for me

Poor communication. - I never got to go. They cancelled and refunded my money. I signed up through Trip advisor on Sunday morning for a Thursday afternoon tour. I didn’t hear anything by Monday afternoon so I called contact number and left a message. Called Monday night still no reply. Finally got someone on Wed morning to talk to. They said “oh you signed up recently, I’ll see if I can get a guide. I’ll call you back. They never did. I called contact number Wed night and got a manager and they said they didn’t find a guide and could refund my money or reschedule. I asked for Friday morning. The manager again said she would call me back and keep me informed. No reply. Thursday night I again called them. Needless to say, I took the refund.
