About the Park:
Yala National Park spans a vast area on the southeastern coast of Sri Lanka, from Okanda to Hambantota. The area’s history dates back several centuries, with records indicating it was abandoned three centuries ago due to ‘unhealthy conditions,’ as noted by 16th-century Spanish cartographer Cipriano Sanchez. This may have been due to the swamps and dangerous wildlife that caused various diseases, which were untreatable at the time.

Awesome safari with young ones - The pick up from Bentota was on time. The driver was extremely helpful and drove very well and safely. The vehicle was super comfortable. It was very well organized. Even the pick up in Jeep was very timely and the safari was super good. We were tired but very happy at the end of the trip. The empathy that staff showed for our young kids was outstanding. I would strongly recommend this tour.
