Fun creative relaxing way to end our trip to Beppu - We had a great time creating our lanterns, combining patterns to make them one-of-a-kind. It was a perfect way to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. We really enjoyed meeting Masa and learning a bit about the history of Beppu. Massa also pointed the way and even made us a reservation at an excellent izakaya where we had some great local dishes. Highly recommend this.

Very fun lantern making experience - The lantern making was a very good experience. Those who helped us with the craft were very friendly, and explained the process well. We were given templates to use or we could use our creativity (we used the templates). We enjoyed this experience very much.

Incredible experience you shouldnt miss! - The Bamboo Lantern Shop was truly such a wonderful experience! Our instructor and the whole Team at Space Beppu/ Glide Japan were incredibly nice and its a beautiful memory to take home from Japan. We even made our own designs and it worked so well!
If you are around Beppu, you should definitely consider to take part in one of their amazing courses.

A blast of a Beppu bamboo lantern workshop! - The workshop was so much fun and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and inclusive. All are welcome here and if we are ever nearby again we will be making a stop!
We also left with cute bamboo lanterns we made and materials are all eco friendly!

Great experience!! - Very fun! Our hosts were kind and engaging and the instructions clear. We learned a bit about the bamboo industry and also appreciated the vision they had for their space and business there. We also appreciated their support of local artists. All in all a great experience!

Bamboo lantern making - Great fun experience! The team was very helpful with giving out instructions and answering any question we had. Friendly and spoke English which great. Would definitely do it again.

workshop I want to join again - Feeling good staff 👍
After the start of work outside, the second floor of the shop was quickly moved and resumed work due to lightning and rain.
Drilling holes in bamboo is very exhilarating.
I was able to get a taxi home that I couldn't quite get hold of 🙏
It was a fun memory for parents and children ☺️

Creative art creation time - it was a really good event for creating your own bamboo artwork!! Spend an hour and make a unique bamboo artwork. I believe that no matter how long it takes, as long as I see this work, I will recall this happy time. Really recommend you to try this with ur friends!

Bamboo lantern crafting - The event was very fun and the result was very beautiful! This time was doing outside with a big fan, so you won’t feel hot but the sawdust will fly everywhere. Would recommend to wear glasses and mask! It would also take longer time for those who are not familiar with electric drill, so leave extra time for this event!
