This castle is the pride and joy of the city of Berat. Its courtyard offers stunning views of the city and the valley below, and visitors are sure to receive a warm welcome from the castle’s residents. - National Iconographic Museum Onufri - Named after the renowned artist Onufri, this museum is located in the Dormition of St. Mary Cathedral in Berat. The Byzantine church features a gold-plated iconostasis carved from walnut wood, surrounded by exquisite medieval art. The museum’s collection includes 173 selected works, showcasing the majority of Onufri’s creations. His post-Byzantine art was continued by his students, including his son, Nikolla. All icons in the museum were painted by Albanian iconographic artists between the 16th and 20th centuries.
- Gorica Bridge - Situated in the heart of Berat, the magnificent Gorica Bridge is one of the most beautiful Ottoman bridges in the Balkans, linking the city to the neighborhood of the same name. Its beauty is attributed to its gentle arch, standing 10m tall and stretching 130m across the Osumi riverbed. The bridge features seven arches, wooden railings, and small “windows” that give it a unique appearance. It’s a sight that will compel you to stop and admire its beauty up close.

Holy Trinity Church is one of Berat’s oldest churches, located in the historic Mangalem quarter on the southern side of Berat Castle. The castle offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the medieval Gorica area, the Osumi River, and the modern Berat Promenade, part of the UNESCO-protected harmonious ensemble of Berat.
