• Berat Castle - Berat Castle stands as a significant and well-preserved historical site in Albania. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the city of Berat, it provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Osum River valley and the surrounding mountains. The castle is characterized by its massive stone walls and 24 watchtowers, many of which remain intact.

Unlike most castles, Berat Castle hosts a living community within its walls. Some of the traditional stone houses are still inhabited.

• National Iconographic Museum Onufri - The Onufri Iconographic Museum, also known as the Onufri National Museum of Icons, is a prominent Albanian museum situated within the Cathedral of the Dormition of St. Mary inside Berat Castle. Founded in 1986, it pays tribute to the 16th-century master icon-painter Onufri, who transformed Albanian religious art with his vibrant colors and realism. The museum showcases 173 selected items—106 icons and 67 liturgical objects—sourced from a collection of approximately 1,500 pieces from churches and monasteries in the Berat region.
