Good - It was a good half day trip. It was nice seeing the countryside; forests, mountains, rivers and quaint farms and villages. The eagles nest and its history was interesting. It was rainy with a heavy fog, so unfortunately the view was totally obscured. It was still worth the time.

Eagles Nest review. - Mitch our guides knowledge of the history leading up to the Nest being built was top class. Thoroughly recommend even though it was a wet and cloudy day.

A trip to remember. - We both enjoyed the trip to the Eagles nest without knowing too much about it. The guide on the bus was excellent with interesting facts and knowledge, even though the Eagles Nest has a dark past you can’t help but appreciate the beauty of its location. The bus was immaculately clean and the driver very experienced which made a comfortable journey, the trip also stopped at a beautiful village for an hour which enabled you to have some lunch or a beer and sundae as we did. Overall the trip was thoroughly enjoyable with stunning views, it was extremely well organised with as quoted, no lines and skipped any cues.

Eagles Nest - Tour guide (Mitch) provided key background on the early life of Hilter up through his time at Eagles Nest. Time is quite limited at your stops but sufficient to obtain an understanding of the structure and enjoy the phenomenal views.

Amazing views over the Alps with Salzburg in the distance - This building is linked to some disturbing events in global history, but please don’t let that put you off going. The skill needed to build this was incredible and a visit can pay tribute to the people who sacrificed to enable this to even exist, not the people behind them. The views are stunning and I got a great sense of peace looking at the wonderful scenery from such an amazing vantage point. The journey up is easy by coach, bus and the lift. If you stay within the main building area it is all paved. There is the opportunity to venture a bit higher up on some rough ground (there are some steps) but wear the right shoes for rough terrain if planning to do this. It is worthwhile and there are loads of small cairns up there that people have created.

Great Tour - An interesting tour with fabulous views. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable, sometimes hard to hear as we were closer to the back of the bus, but it wasn’t the guides fault just excited tourists chatting over him. There was no waiting to get to the top which was great and stopping for lunch at Berchtesgaden was really nice too.

Interesting but rushed - The trip to Eagle's Nest was beautiful. The guide gave us historical information the entire drive. The transfer to busses at Eagle's Nest and up the elevator was seamless. The time at Eagle's Nest was a little rushed especially for people who wanted to walk to the summit. The trip to Berchtesgaden was cute but it was also very rushed. It was billed as time to eat lunch but we only had an hour to walk from the bus, find a restaurant, eat lunch, and walk back to the bus. I was stressed about time during this part of the tour.

It's basically a ride to... - It's basically a ride to and from the Eagle's nest. There are beautiful views at the top and lots of great hiking trails. Not much else to see but a couple of rooms. Wish we had driven ourselves to have more time. Were rushed to bus to pick up salt mine tour on time.

Horrible guide. Not in the right line of work. Rude and uninformative. It was a terrible tour. Herding bus loads of pple - Horrible rude guide. He was rude and not educational at all. This was a terrible tour. All three of us did not like it and could not wait for it to end. Much of the time was herding people from bus to bus to tunnel to elevator. To see a restaurant and a dim room. Save your money. Shake on you panorama tours. Disgusting.
