• Bergen - The tour begins in Bergen, known as the Gateway to the Fjords. Established in 1070, this city is rich in historical and cultural landmarks, some of which will be seen as the tour departs and returns to Bergen.
• Osteroy Municipality - Sørfjorden, or the South fjord, is part of the Osterfjord, a unique natural feature: a saltwater inlet encircling Northern Europe’s largest inland island, Osterøy Island, surrounded by mainland. The tour follows the South fjord to the crossroads at Trengereid, where stops are not typically made.
• Trengereid rundkøyring - From Trengereid village, the tour takes Route #7 towards the Hardangerfjord, without usually stopping.
• Hardangervegen - Known as the Hardanger Road, Norwegian route #7 is a tourist attraction itself, offering stunning views of mountains, lakes, and waterfalls. Two photo stops are planned at Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen waterfalls en route to the Hardangerfjord.
• Fossen Bratte - A stop is made at the 259-foot (79-meter) tall Fossen Bratte waterfall, offering a great view and photo opportunities. A short walk to the waterfall’s base is highly recommended to experience the refreshing mist.
• Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall - The next stop is at the 164-foot (50-meter) tall Steinsdalsfossen waterfall, where visitors can walk behind the waterfall without getting wet. This walk to the viewpoint is highly recommended.
• Hardanger - The tour travels along the Hardangerfjord, Norway’s second-longest fjord, to Granvin, crosses the fjord on the Hardanger bridge, and continues to Eidfjord.
• Skårsvatnet - After passing through Norheimsund and Øystese, a short detour is made to Skårsvatnet, the Goldfish Lake, home to a large population of tame golden orfe, often seen near the shore.
• Fyksesund Bridge - The tour continues to Fyksesundet, a narrow fjord crossed by the Fyksesund suspension bridge, built in 1937.
• Steinstø Fruktgard - On the other side of Fyksesundet is Steinstø, a small farming community with a fruit farm and café, where a stop for coffee, apple pie, and fjord views is possible.
• Hardanger Fjord - The journey continues along the fjord, showcasing the natural beauty and charming villages along the coast.
• Hardanger Bridge - The tour crosses the fjord at one of its narrowest points on the Hardanger Bridge, a 2013 suspension bridge with a 1310-meter (4300 ft) main span, preceded by an 8 km (5 miles) tunnel. A viewpoint stop offers views of the fjord and bridge.
• Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger - After passing Eidfjord, a popular cruise destination, the tour visits the “Norwegian Nature Center – Hardanger” in Øvre Eidfjord, a museum dedicated to the region’s flora, fauna, geology, and history. Visitors can watch “Norway my country - fjords, mountains, waterfalls and Hardangervidda,” a panoramic film showcasing the area’s beauty. The museum and café are open from April 1 to October 31, with off-season lunch available in Eidfjord.
• Vøringfossen - The main destination is Vøringsfossen waterfall, 182 meters (597 ft) tall, at the end of Måbødalen valley. The viewpoint features secure platforms overhanging the waterfall and canyon, offering mesmerizing views of the cascading waters and lush tundra landscape.

If time permits, the tour may continue into the Hardangervidda plateau above the timberline, where the landscape transitions to bare mountains.

After visiting Vøringsfossen and possibly the Hardangervidda plateau, the tour returns to Bergen via the Hardangerfjord, crossing the bridge and passing through Voss, concluding in Bergen.

• Skjervsfossen Waterfall - On the return to Bergen, a short detour is made to Skjervsfossen, featuring twin falls plunging from a height of 150 meters.
