An experience everyone should make - The tour was amazing. We got a nice amount of food and it was sooo delicious. Our guide told us a lot about the places we visited without being boring. She made the history really fun, especially with some great side stories. We started with some food at the fish market. Later on we got a little soup at a local restaurant, where one would probably just walk by if you didn't know about it. We stopped at the best coffee shop in Bergen and ended the tour in the cosiest bar I've seen in my entire life.
Between the food spots our guide told us a lot about the places we walked by or through. She was such a kind person and really easy to talk to.
I can't recommend this tour enough. It is such a great peak into Bergen culture and worth every second!

Great tour and tour guide! - We arranged for a food tour of Bergen. Matias did an outstanding job tailoring the tour to maximize the local history and culture. We learned a lot about the area - both historical and current relevant issues. We would highly recommend the tour.

My friend and I liked our... - My friend and I liked our walking tour very much because we had an excellent guide (I am SO sorry I don’t know his name). He was knowledgeable and delightful. He made the tour so enjoyable as he was such a good story teller with a great sense of humor. We were taken to very interesting neighborhoods where he regaled us with interesting facts and wonderful stories We will definitely recommend the tour to friends and family.

A perfect afternoon in Bergen. - I want to thank Turid for this wonderful experience. I visited with my 83-year-old brother and father. My father had some difficulty walking, but Turid was extraordinarily attentive to his limitations and carefully modified the visit without attracting attention. We arrived on a cold and foggy day, at the end of a winter storm, and every place we went was friendly and welcoming. We learned a lot about Bergen’s history and Norwegian culture, all carefully integrated into our tour of the city and its hidden gems. The food and drinks were fantastic, the fish market restaurant being my favorite. The hospitality was palpable. We felt a bit like a family. Thank you to Turid for giving us this wonderful experience and for giving my father the memory of a perfect afternoon in Bergen.

Highlight of Bergen - Very informative and a great tour of Bergen with some local food along the way. Maryanne (hope I spelt that right) is a lovely guide with great historical knowledge and made the tour a pleasure.

History Tour (with snacks) - If you are a foodie looking for a food tour, this isn’t it. Our guide was perfectly nice and had lots of stories to tell about the Hanseatic history of Bergen. There were also snacks- a fish cake, cinnamon bun, brunøst (brown cheese), a bowl of soup, warm apple juice, beer- but we came away not having learned anything about the food or culture of Bergen. The pork and lamb soup, at a restaurant that used to be a public bath, was an especially odd part of the tour.) If you are really interested in Norwegian or Bergen food and food culture, this is not the tour you want.
