Informative and engaging - Very knowledgeable guide who tailors the guide based on the participant’s knowledge and interests. Shares before and after photos of the battle sites to give context to each stop. Additional information about the history of each location is also presented. The very definition of an insider’s guide to the battle.

First Class Detailed Tour - This was one of five tours we arranged through "On The Front." Having visited Berlin six months ago, my wife sought out more personalized tours rather than those consisting of twenty plus people providing a general overview of events. She conducted thorough research, and "On the Tour" emerged as her preferred choice, which did not disappoint. Matt Menneke (the owner) guided my wife and I on a tour of the final days of the Third Reich/Berlin Battlefield Tour. Matt led us through the route taken by The Russian troops to capture the Reichstag building which was little more than a shell at the time following a dubious fire 10 years earlier and Stalin's directives to his Marshals, the rationale behind them, and their resulting consequences. We also retraced the tour on the day we departed Berlin as we found it so interesting. This was more than a tour, highly informative and well worth the money. Reviews of the other tours will follow over the next few days

Very engaging snapshot into these critical few weeks and days of the war - Our guide, Steve, was fantastic! The info he gave was engaging and he really brought to life what happened in those final few weeks and hours. We had to adapt the tour slightly due to a biblical rain storm, but that didn't really matter as we had already seen the main sites we were going to visit, it was just great to hear his narrative. My 11 year old really enjoyed it, and was recanting some facts and figures to his pals once we returned home.

Expert guided small group tour which felt personalised. Well worth the money. - A great experience, Steve our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The photos and maps he brought along really helped understand the tactics and realities faced by all involved. There were only 8 of us so it felt like a really personalised experience with lots of time for discussion.

Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie! 👍 - An comprehensive overview of Hitler’s rise to power, the end of WW2 and the building and the liberation of the people on the East side of the wall. Roshanna was an excellent guide - her knowledge of this time period and sites along the way. Trainee guide Steve came along too - fabulous insights from both. Visited many historic places along the way including Hitler’s ‘burial’ place!

Cancelled last minute - Trip cancelled night before, to continue we were asked to pay fee of additional €110 if we wished to go as a private tour. As this was too expensive we cancelled and rebooked a different tour for €18 with a different company and it was great.
