Fun Range of Berlin Food Experiences! - What a perfect way to acquaint yourself with Berlin! We did The Berlin Culinary Experience tour with Margot early in our stay in Berlin. It was a wonderful way to explore a history rich area of Berlin. The tour stops were varied and all worthy, delicious and interesting. Margot included interesting local history while informing us about the foods and the the backstories of the restaurants and shops we visited. Try to fit this tour in early in your Germany itinerary. You will be able to enjoy the additional benefit of visiting a host of delicious restaurants suggested by this knowledgeable local guide. Highly recommended!

Perfect Tour for Foodies in Berlin - Loved this experience and would recommend to everyone looking to experience Berlin today! We spent 4 hours on the tour with (as promised) gourmet food - in contemporary and classic German spots. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and took amazing care of us - even pointing out (free, local) museums and next stops after we parted ways that elevated our day. The atmosphere was super friendly and chic, with connections to Anthony Bourdain. After the tour, we could spot familiar dishes and cuisine on the menu at our dinner menu. I would also mention that we took this tour on a drizzly february day, and it was so fun that we didn't notice the glum weather at all. (Photo is from our dinner later, at a booking recommended from our guide) Try this tour! You will not regret it! Come hungry!

Great combination of history and food! - Alex took us to a couple of local restaurants where we were served all different kinds of food and drinks. A great trip through history and culture of East Berlin.

Alex was very knowledgeable and welcoming - Upon arriving at any destination city, I seek out the local market(s) and a food tour in order to best plan out my itinerary. The highest rated food tour I could find on Tripadvisor was the Berlin Culinary Experience led by owner-operator Alex. Having just returned from the food tour, I would rate Alex's tour in the upper echelon of food tours I've experienced for two main reasons: (a) To my knowledge, there is no central market near the "Mitte" area of the city where are staying to get a vibe of the ingredients and food scene. This makes going on a food tour even more important since I got to ask the questions that were on my mind such as "Why is there no big, easily-accessible permanent food market in Berlin such as you'd find in other major cities?" (b) Alex studied cultural anthropology at university and the members of our tour had many questions about the confusing history of East Berlin/Germany. As they say, history is written by the victors and Alex has a unique perspective having grown up locally in East Berlin/Germany. Ask him about it! Of course, if you don't have an interest in history and politics, this may be of little importance but for our group, it was very informative and welcome. Alex took this cue from our group and interspersed a lot of these topics into our tour which was great. In all, Alex was very hospitable and I would recommend his tour, given that I find Berlin's food scene to be very challenging!

An excellent and highly recommended tour! - This was an excellent tour. We visited many lovely restaurants, we will definitely return to and had some lovely food and drinks. Alex was so knowledgeable and interesting and was a lovely person to spend a few hours with. He brought the vibrant history of the area (Prenzlauer Berg) we visited alive and you could clearly feel his love for the city. Highly recommend this tour!

Great Tour—Highly Recommended - We really enjoyed our food tour and would highly recommend taking a tour with Walk With Us Tours Berlin. Alex was our tour guide and he was absolutely excellent!!! Prenzlauer Berg was a lovely area and the food and drinks were great!!! Alex is very knowledgeable about the food culture but also shared stories about the history of the local area. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Walk With Us Tours Berlin.
