- Am Reitweiner Sporn - Following the museum visit, a short drive leads to the town of Reitwein. This modest town played a crucial role in the Soviet advance and served as the starting point for the 1st Belorussian Front’s assault on Seelow and the subsequent advance on Berlin. The Soviets gathered a force of 768,000 infantry (including 78,556 soldiers from the Polish 1st Army), 3,059 tanks, 16,934 artillery and mortars, and 3,279 combat aircraft.
- Am Reitweiner Sporn - A brief walk from the town through the forest brings the tour to the bunker and trench network systems, remnants of which are still visible today, including Marshal Zhukov’s command bunker and observation point where he directed the battle.
- Kita Dolgelin - After a short exploration through the trench network, the tour proceeds to Dolgelin Railway station. Here, Colonel Scheunemann, commander of the 303rd Infantry Division, established his command post to defend the heights. The tour will assess the German defensive positions and highlight the significant challenges faced by Russian and Polish troops in crossing the aptly named ‘shooting gallery’.
- Komturei Lietzen - The tour then begins the return journey to Berlin, following the original Soviet advance route. Passing through Lietzen, the tour will briefly stop at the German field cemetery, which has been notably expanded since Unification, as newly discovered remains are continually added to the wartime graves. The town also features what is believed to be Germany’s oldest barn and a manor house built by the Knights Templar in 1252.
- Schlosskirche Jahnsfelde - The final stop in Jahnsfelde highlights the intensity and desperation of the fighting. Featuring a sports field, once the site of a German field hospital ruthlessly attacked by Soviet aircraft targeting the red cross markings, and the last stand of the 3rd Battalion of the Artillery Regiment 18. Caught at the crossroads by advancing Soviet armor during the retreat, the Battalion quickly established defensive positions, destroying an estimated 100 tanks at the cost of 8 officers, 163 killed, over two-thirds of the battalion wounded, and all guns lost.
- Alexanderplatz - Upon returning to Berlin, the guide will drop you off at your hotel or a central location of your choice.
