The best tour guide I have ever been on tour with - The tour guide truly made this experience. His huge knowledge, experience and compassion brought the experience to life in a way that was both thoughtful and grounding. I cannot recommend his approach and the experience highly enough to help understand m and bring awareness of how important it is to make sure history can never repeat itself. The tour was deeply moving for the whole family although I would recommend for teenage children and older. For younger children I think there would be better tours by the same company. Thank you.

A chilling but good day - The tour was amazing with excellent guidance and knowledge from our guide Sharon. The tour included most areas of the camp, with excellent insight into the rather horrible events and history of the place. The instructions for the meeting point and also the logistics were very clear and easy to follow.

I had the concentration... - I had the concentration camp tour with Sharon and I happened to be the only one on the tour, so I got a private tour. Sharon was very nice and patient, giving me a lot of details of the concentration camp, history background, social context and also information of Berlin city. I am very pleased with Sharon's guide!

Camp itself was great but issues with the tourguide - Concentration camp itself was fascinating and absolutely worth visiting. The exhibition centre was great. The information on the boards as you walked round was very engaging and extremely well researched/written. However, I had a few issues with the tour guide Sharon. She clearly had a very extensive knowledge of the subject and her English was exceptional. This being said, throughout the trip, almost every third sentence was some form of sarcastic humour. I don't know whether it was nerves, but she also laughed after every sentence with a difficult topic which was very frustrating. I understand that the topic is extremely sensitive and upsetting, and I appreciate that on occasion lightheartedness can be used, but this was too much. It detracted considerably from the gravity of the topic. We arrived at midday but didn't actually go into the camp until 12:45- spending our time outside the camp, talking about things we could easily read about. After another 45 mins we had taken all but 10 steps inside, at which point we broke for lunch. This was the best bit as we were given 45 mins to walk round on our own. The tour was meant to be for 6h (10:00-16:00) but at 14:30, as we were no way near finished and it was a 30min walk back to the train station (because the buses don't run on a Sunday), I had to leave the tour early. Thankfully I had explored the areas of particular interest to me during the break, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see them.
