- Apologies for the extensive delay as it took almost a year to have data recovered off a failed hard drive. This is an Erik only review as Cheryl did not go. I arrived at the meeting point where our guide Paul was waiting. He was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. The group takes a short train ride to Oranienburg train station. From there it is a 30-minute walk to the camp. Once inside the camp you are taken on a three-hour tour. Paul did an excellent job of explaining what we were seeing and what went on here. It is impossible for me to express what it was like to visit here. You will have to experience it for yourself. The one word I would use is profound. After the tour you walk back to the train station and head back to Berlin. Paul was more than willing to answer questions, but most of the group was fairly quiet. This is quite an experience. I recommend that everyone visit here if you are in Berlin.

Good tour. Russian guide was knowledgeable but would have been good to communicate more between formal talking stops. - The tour is well timed and organised. But need more time to look at the display underneath housing. It is helpful to understand how the concentration and extermination camps evolved.
