Known for its significant fishing port, Getaria is home to the museum of the famous fashion designer Cristobal Balenciaga and is the birthplace of Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first person to circumnavigate the globe.

A custom experience we’ll never forget - The highlight of our trip! Mikel was an incredible host and tailored the itinerary to incorporate my ancestral home town, Leketio. He was full of local insight and history, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and accommodated. We not only saw some smaller towns that we would have never otherwise seen (like the unique town of EA), but came upon and official visit with traditional dancers at the tree of Gernika and a group of kids practicing handball with their coach in Mutriku. Mikel, thank you. We will absolutely recommend.

Our guide Anders was... - Our guide Anders was fantastic and knowledgeable. We were able to easily see all the destinations as we relaxed and made our way from Bilboa to San Sebastian.... without the worry of finding parking.

Great way to transfer between cities. - Ander was great, adjusting our itinerary because we had already visited some places along his typical route. On time, professional, and fun. This was a great option because of the gap on our check-out and check-in times in Bilbao and San Sebastián.

The True Basque Country Experience - An unqualified recommendation. Ander is among the very best guides you could ever hope for. He was born and raised in Basque Country (San Sebastian). He is very friendly, courteous, fun (yet extremely professional), articulate (speaks 5 languages fluently and articulately, including English), extremely knowledgeable of the area, history, culture, best sights, restaurants, bars (Pintxos), etc. We had last minute itinerary changes and he graciously accommodated our needs. My wife and I were very interested in the Basque history, culture and sights (I have distant ancestors from the Basque country) and he exceeded our highest hopes & expectations. He chauffeured us in a new Mercedes van which was very comfortable. We experienced our tour in every way: sights, sounds, food, culture, history... extraordinary for 1 day. I am certain there could not have been a better gentleman to guide us through our day in the Basque Country. When he dropped us off, we felt like we were saying good bye to a member of our extended family.
