Great introduction to Bern - Great introduction to Bern. James is Australian, so there is no language barrier for English speakers, and he has lived in Switzerland for many years, so he knows the country very well. He took us to all the major sites and provided a great overview of the history of Bern and Switzerland. It was our first day in Switzerland, so he was also very helpful with recommendations about transportation and other places to see. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful Tour by Knowledgeable Guide - James was a great guide, he provided a lot of information about the city and gave insights into Swiss attitudes as well. He does not guide often, so we were luck to get him

Great way to see Bern when you are just making a short stopover - My son and I had just a few hours in Bern so planned a 2 hour tour with a local. We learned a lot and efficiently saw the highlights. It was really educational. We enjoyed very much

Perfect private tour - This tour really emphasise why we do private tours, it was a stroll around Bern with a great guide who just went at our pace and we spoke about the very interesting Bern and the role it has played in many aspects of history and world events, he easily accommodated our interests and could adapt at ease to any direction we went with our conversations and questions, a refreshing change to tour guides, Thanks James we had a great time

A nice walk in Bern - The tour was fantastic. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the city and the history of Bern. He took us to places we would never have found on our own.

4 star was our compromise group vote - Wife and girls enjoyed James’ leisurely pace and presentation style.
I, instead, thought there was a lack of a big picture theme and storytelling on the tour. Something that should build on itself and leave one feeling more educated about the city’s history and culture.
