• Basilica Cistern - Constructed in the 6th century under Byzantine Emperor Justinian, this underground cistern was named Basilica due to its location beneath the Stoa Basilica, a large public square on Constantinople’s First Hill. It measures approximately 138 meters (453 ft) by 65 meters (213 ft), covering about 9,800 square meters (105,000 sq ft), and can hold 80,000 cubic meters (2,800,000 cu ft) of water, supported by 336 marble columns, each 9 meters (30 ft) high. During the tour, visitors will see marble blocks carved with Medusa’s face and the teardrop column.
• Kapali Carsi - The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the world’s largest and oldest covered markets, featuring 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops across a total area of 30,700 m2, drawing between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily. It is often considered one of the world’s first shopping malls.
