After lunch in Eceabat, delight in a charming ferry ride across the Dardanelles to Canakkale. Your guide will share the mythology of Troy, along with the history and findings from archaeological excavations, starting with Heinrich Schliemann’s discovery in the 1870s to the present day. Nine cities have been unearthed, layered one atop the other, dating back to before 3500 BC. The city immortalized by Homer in “The Iliad,” depicting the ten-year war, is just one of these layers. Definitely worth it! - The day trip to Troy was excellently organized, with an hotel pick-up and a smooth ferry crossing. Everything ran on time and without any stress. Our guide, Burak, was highly professional and very knowledgeable about the site's history. He kept the tour engaging by mixing historical facts with a great sense of humor, making the visit very enjoyable.
If you spend time in Istanbul, it is definitely worth a shot!

Amazing Troy Trip with Friendly Guides and Great Service - We had a wonderful experience with Crowded House Tours on our City of Troy trip. Everything was well-organized and on time, and the staff were very nice and approachable.
Special thanks to Serhat, who guided us to and from the ferry between Eceabat and Çanakkale. It was also really nice chatting with him during the ride - he was friendly, fun, and easy to talk to. He clearly explained what was included in the tour and the itinerary, and he shared interesting stories about the history of the place and the war that happened years ago. You can really see how passionate and dedicated he is to his job through the way he treats his guests.
Our guide in Troy, Simge, was also amazing. Even while we were still on the van, she was already sharing historical information and making sure we understood the significance of the site. She is very knowledgeable and confident in what she does. Despite the rain, our tour continued smoothly, and she even offered us an umbrella. She was patient, caring, and always checked if we were comfortable.
We would also like to thank our drivers for getting us safely to and from Istanbul. Their professionalism and careful driving made the long journey comfortable and stress-free.
Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Crowded House Tours, especially if you’re visiting Troy. Thank you to the whole team for making our trip so special!

Uncovering stories with Borak - This tour was by far the most engaging and insightful we did in Turkiye. Big thanks to our very active guide, Borak. Though the actual tour of the archaeological site is less than half a day, what we learned was a lot. Stories about the archaeologists, the people, and the place of Troia are truly worth knowing.
The drive from Istanbul to Canakkale was long, though, so be prepared. There’s also a ferry ride, so consider packing some snacks! The tour included our lunch and the admission fees. Definitely best for solo travellers, families, and friends!

Dardanelles: from 1 straight to the other . - It seemed a bit hectic all the changes of vehicles , but it was actually very well planned, and they were very responsible, carefully checking who went where.
Personally I liked a lot crossing the Dardanelles.
Lunch was good; better yet with close feline companionship ( this is Türkiye!).
At Troy/ Truva/Troia ( you choose ) the guide was very thorough. A little tiresome to stand in the sun, listening, but young people probably didn't care.
Beautiful views of Marmara sea & Dardanelles.

Great tour but be prepared for a long drive - The tour of Troy was informative and enjoyable. The guide was very knowledgable and did a great job explaining the history and the archeologists who uncovered the ruins. The meal was good and the rest stops were at gas stations with hot food service and clean bathrooms. The reason I would not recommend this tour is the length of the drive. The tour operator offers overnight tours with additional stops which would make the drive More Tolerable and might be a better option.

Do not waste your time - Not worth it. Drive to Troy would not be too bad except our pick up from hotel included picking up other people from other hotels for a total of 1 hour. Drop-off at the end was the same thing so that meant 2 hours of our time was wasted! We were the first to be picked up at 5:50am. Guide was terrible and condescending too!
