• Tsari Mali Grad - Embark on a journey to the early Christian Roman fortress “Tsari Mali Grad,” situated on the hill of St. Spas at the base of Verila Mountain. This fortress is a site of great historical significance for Bulgaria, first explored in 2007. Constructed during the early Christian era, it served as a vital defense and cultural hub during antiquity and the early Byzantine period. Archaeological studies on “St. Spas” hill have uncovered five phases from the early Iron Age to the Byzantine era, including Thracian cult pits, a Roman fortress with towers, and an early Christian church.

Visitors will have approximately one hour to explore the fortress and capture unforgettable photos!

• Belchin - “Tsar Mali Grad” is the former name of the village of Belchin, located near the early Christian Roman fortress. Belchin is renowned for its warm mineral springs, known for their healing properties since ancient times. The mineral water in Belchin is beneficial for treating the peripheral nervous system, joint, gynecological, and orthopedic conditions.
