Founded in the 11th century, it is one of the oldest monasteries near Sofia. Locally known as the Royal Monastery, it was frequently visited by King Ferdinand during his reign. Today, the Divotinski Monastery remains an active male monastery.
- Bankya - Following the monastery visit, you will have free time in the center of Bankya for a lunch break, after which you will visit the fully restored Royal Baths Resort, where you can enjoy 3.5 hours of relaxation.
The mineral water qualities of Bankya have been renowned for over a century! The bathhouse was a favored retreat for Bulgarian kings, who left rejuvenated by the healing waters. The Royal Baths Resort was officially opened on May 24, 1911.
The thermal zone features a pool with mineral water (35-37°C), mineral showers and massage jets, mineral water pools, and a tepidarium. The wellness zone includes two steam baths, a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, a laconium, a tepidarium, and two hydromassage pools with mineral water (32°C), as well as a children’s pool with mineral water (30°C). Departure back to Sofia is scheduled for around 16:30, with an estimated return to your location by 17:30.
