Before proceeding to the tasting, an introduction to the fundamentals of proper wine tasting will be provided for those interested, which is particularly beneficial for first-time participants. For more seasoned attendees, in-depth questions about the wine regions, grape varieties, and terroir are welcome.
The tasting includes four local wines paired with cheese and bread. Each wine increases in intensity, offering a journey through various parts of the country. The second part of the experience introduces rakia, with two local varieties to sample. This potent fruit brandy is a traditional and cherished drink not only in Bulgaria but throughout the Balkan Peninsula.
