• Chekanchevo - The journey begins at 11:00 with a private car picking you up from your hotel in Sofia. By 11:45, you will reach the quaint village of Chekanchevo, nestled in the “Sredna Gora” mountain range. Start with a relaxing walk through the pine forest. The picturesque trail leads to a viewpoint offering views of five distinct mountains, including the tallest on the peninsula, and a Roman monument from the 4th century AD. Follow the path once taken by troops during Bulgaria’s third most significant battle for liberation in 1877, a military success still studied in academies worldwide.

After the walk, visit a genuine rural house and enjoy a homemade three-course lunch (generous portions!) prepared by “Mama” Tanya, featuring fresh local ingredients directly from the farm. The meal also includes locally made “rakia” and wine.

In the late afternoon, your driver will return you to your accommodation in Sofia.
