Day 1: Paro and Thimphu Sightseeing
The first day of the tour offers an exciting opportunity to learn more about the country and its people. By nightfall, you will have gained insight into how the Bhutanese preserve their culture, traditions, and the art of painting from external influences.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
The second day features a packed schedule. A visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point) reveals a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue constructed in the mountains of Thimphu. A drive to Tashichho Dzong, built in 1216 by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa, provides a comprehensive understanding of Bhutanese culture and traditions. After lunch, visit the Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 as a tribute to the third king. Simtokha Dzong, constructed in 1629, is a significant dzong in Bhutanese history. The day concludes with a drive towards Paro.
Day 3: Hike to Tiger’s Nest
This day is dedicated to a hike to Paro Taktsang, built around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave. It is a challenging walk from the earth to the heavens. Lunch will be arranged so you can enjoy it over the Taktsang Valley. After lunch, return to your accommodation for some rest, followed by an evening visit to Paro Museum and Paro town.
Day 4: Departure
Today marks the final day of your trip to Bhutan, and it’s time to take cherished memories back home. We bid you a fond farewell.
