Mill Creek Road - There is so much unique nature for children and families to experience in Big Bear Lake. Take a family-friendly walk with me into the woods and let me teach you and your family about our native plants and the history of the Big Bear Valley. I will explain all the different plants and trees we will see on the hike and even munch on wild plants we see growing seasonably on the trailside. I will tell you and your family stories about the animals who live in this forest, even showing your children animal tracks, owl pellets and if we see any butterflies I will teach your children the secrets to taking the best butterfly photos.
I love sharing my knowledge of this wilderness with young guests to Big Bear. As an outdoor enthusiast, I have so many tales to entertain families about our local Big Bear wildlife. If we meet any butterflies on the trail I will even give your children a quick lesson on butterfly photography!
I feel like getting kids interested in nature when they are young is a great way to influence the future generations of outdoor lovers. Big Bear Lake is a great alpine area to learn about our local plants and animals.
