Fabulous tour with Kimo to Volcano National park and other sites - This was our 30th anniversary trip and our first time to Hawaii. The trip of a lifetime is an understatement. I booked the volcano tour last minute, I am so glad I did. Malahini Tours was amazing and our tour guide Kimo was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond. Stopping at a roadside place so we could each have an authentic Hawaiian donut. Due to us having a little extra time to spare at the end of our tour, he even took us to a black sand beach just to have a quick look. I always have pleasant experiences with viator, this did not disappoint. The only sad thing is that our tour had to end and we had to say goodbye to Kimo! He is top notch and you are lucky to have him on your excursion team! Do not hesitate to book on Viator with Malahini tours and maybe you’ll get lucky to have Kimo as your guide! Tour to rim of Kilauea - We really enjoyed our tour with Dan as his local knowledge, factual info and Island history was outstanding. Although Kilauea wasn't erupting today, the trip was totally worth it and would happily do it again. Thanks Dan.

Incredible Experience with an Amazing Guide! - We had the best time exploring Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park! Our guide, Kimo, was super friendly and knew so much about the Big Island’s history and culture. He even took us to extra spots we weren’t expecting! The views were amazing, the vibe was fun, and we got to stop at a roadside stand for some fresh Hawaiian malasadas — so good! Definitely a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

Perfect paced tour! - This was the best! We were in a small group of 9 people. Kimo was our driver/guide. We were picked up in the port after debarking from our ship. There was no confusion about where to go. Malahini tours was well marked and there early to greet everyone. We had 5 stops. We started at the Japanese gardens, then on to Rainbow Falls. Make sure you do the “optical illusion”. There are clean bathrooms on every stop. Each stop is about 20 minutes. On to Volcano National park where walk through the Lava tube (about 1:2 mile), then to the active caldera and ending at the hotel to see the crater from a different angle. Our last stop was at Big Island candies where we were given samples to cookies and chocolate. Since we did so well on time, Kimo took us to the Bkack sand beach for a 5-10 minute walk around. Very pretty! This tour was perfectly paced, the van had nice A/C, the other couples were very pleasant and Kimo was so full of knowledge and a great driver as well. We would do this again!

Kilauea highlights - This tour was all that it was advertised to be, and more. Our tour guide/driver, Kimo, was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. He was at our side all of the way providing us with pertinent information and offering to take pictures at every stop along the trip. Seeing the volcano erupting and walking through the lava tube were highlights of the trip. Highly recommend this excursion.

Great tour . We had Dan... - Great tour . We had Dan as our guide . He was very personable and knowledgeable. He gave us plenty of time at each stop . He even provided a fresh fruit snack !

We made severalstops... - We made severalstops including the active volcano. It would have been nice if we had more time there to walk the trail.
