Kalaninuimehameha is a native Hawaiian student at the University of Hawaii, focusing on the culture, language, history, astronomy, geology, and oceanography of the Hawaiian islands. As night falls and stars illuminate the sky, the journey will continue along the path of Keanakakoʻi on Kīlauea. Along this path, visitors will be captivated by the beauty of volcanic ecosystems and reach a cliff to view the interior of Halema’uma’u and its expanding lava lake.
