You’ll enjoy sites such as Mauna Kea Crater, cascading waterfalls, scenic Hamakua Coast, abandoned plantation sugar mill built in the 1920’s and occasionally spinner dolphins that catch a ride on our wake. The underwater topography is a particularly unique experience with pinnacles, shelfs, canyons, lava tubes, sea life indigenous to the Hawaiian Islands, and healthy coral reefs.
During the winter months, you may even catch a glimpse of breaching Humpback Whales and snow capped crater.

1st Dive in Hilo - Service and setup was very professional as the staff was welcoming and friendly. Gabriel and Trevor provided a safe environment to discover and enjoy the dives and also spotted out marine life I've never seen before. Great day out with fellow divers as well.

2 Great Dives in Hilo! - Hilo Ocean is a top grade operator. Equipment was in excellent condition. Boat was great too.
Our first dive included a giant manta ray! Gabriel, our dive master was great and easy to follow. And our boat captain, Trevor, took such good care of us.
A great and special day!

Hilo Ocean Adventures are awesome! - Captain Devon and Dive Master Gabe were AMAZING!! Hilo turned out of be the best diving of our trip to the Big Island! The coral reefs were the healthiest and the east coast ocean was happy to share its beauty. Dolphins followed us out of the harbor to our first dive site. Capetian Devon came to us so there was no worried about returning to the boat we had the freedom to explore the dive sites and their residents as they shared there morning with us. We met up close and personal curious manta rays and a green turtle.

Dive in Kona not Hilo - Boat used is not meant for diving so it’s crowded and awkward to get into and out of. Dive master and captain were great but didn’t have a deck hand so they needed the guests to help often. Dive master promised pass throughs and arches but it was so murky he couldn’t find them.

Cancelled my trip and didn't refund me for over two weeks - I had booked a dive for two for Sunday March 23, however I received a call on March 20 letting me know that the date had been listed on the website by mistake and if I wanted to change the date or cancel. I was in town for a wedding, so I asked for a refund and this was agreed to by the associate. Two weeks later (April 3), I still had not received a refund. I called the shop and the associate said that only the owner had the power to refund a credit card transaction, and that there was a long list of refunds pending, and that the owner wasn't around much. She did gave me the owner's email, which I contacted requesting a refund or an explanation within 48 hours -- no response. Needless to say, I'm furious.... I'm a pretty chill person -- a few days would have been fine. If the owner were on vacation or something, fine, but to just not refund money for two weeks without explanation is completely unacceptable. I can't speak to the dive operation but the business practices of this place are terrible.
