An overall island experience - The trip was wonderful. Our driver/guide Kawika (excuse me please if spelling incorrect, but you know who you are), was a very informative host and we see .much of the island with this tour. If we had did our own thing we would have not seen or learnt what we did.

Big island volcano tour - Fantastic from start to finish. Grant is an excellent guide! Young kids and older couples were with us and all enjoyed the experience. Shopping, donuts, black sand beaches, dinner, and volcanos! I was concerned about the length but tour was captivating and entertaining the entire time. I do wish I did this at the start of my trip so I could explore some of the areas mentioned. I will definitely explore the other tours next time I’m on the island!

Delux Volcano Experience - The delux volcano experience was exceptional. Stops at a local market, a coffee plantation and seeing a Hawaiian green turtle at a black sand beach, walking a historic lava flow tube ln the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park, along with a stop at a local Hawaiian dunut shop and the provided lunch and dinner made seeing Kilauea volcano both in the daytime and at night really special. Our guide/ driver Grant was a great host and his knowledge and love of the subject at hand was phenominal. You couldn't ask for a better guide. The experience was first rate from start to finish.

A Perfect Day Exploring the Big Island’s Beauty & History - We had an incredible day with family and friends on this tour! Our guide, Dave, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure every detail was thoughtfully handled. We visited so many amazing spots, including a local Kona coffee farm where we tasted fresh coffee, and a local bakery known for its delicious Portuguese donuts. Along the way, we learned so much about the local history, native birds, fruits, and even got to taste a unique local berry. A highlight was visiting Kīlauea the day after it erupted — we saw Pele’s hair up close and learned about the volcano’s rich, powerful history. We also explored a volcanic lava tube and ended the day with a fantastic dinner. It was a full, memorable day filled with unforgettable sights and stories about this beautiful place and its heritage. Highly recommend this tour — and a huge thank you to Dave for making it so special!

Great way to see a lot of island in one day - Derrik was very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. It was nice having stops every 1-1.5 hours to break up trip. There was reasonable flexibility on the itinerary, but one hour was more than enough time at the black sand beach.

A must do tour - One of the main advantages of any tour, is that you don’t have to drive all over the place and your guides provide you with background information, so you don’t need to research/read up on things before you do your tour. Sometimes, you’re lucky enough to get an exceptional guide: Grant is one of those. He not only has a wealth of information about volcanos, but pretty much everything pertaining to the island. He’s excellent at engaging the tour participants in conversation, welcoming questions and most of all, he has an very good sense of humor. Aside from the time schedule to be kept for the dinner reservation, there is no time pressure and you never feel hurried along or that you didn’t have enough time at a stop, timing is excellent and you get to see the highlights advertised, as well as some non-advertised ones. If you’re looking for an entertaining, fact filled tour with great sights and some laughs, then this is the tour for you.

The Exclamation Event of the Tour! - We chose the day tour “Deluxe Volcano Experience with Restaurant Dinner” and our adventure guide Grant led us on a true adventure. The regular stuff was great with Grant’s outstanding discussion throughout the tour. The exclamation point was retuning back to Volcano when we heard it was experiencing the Episode 10 eruption. What a surreal event and thanks to Grant, we were able to witness such a powerful display of nature.

Glowing review all around (we saw an eruption!!) - This was one of the best organized and tours I have been on. Grant is an amazingly knowledgeable and entertaining (!) guide. The transport was comfortable for everyone. The best part is we were lucky enough to actually see an eruption!!

Entertaining, a solid tourist experience - This is a good tour for people who don’t want to walk much and who are Ok stopping at places for tourist shopping experiences. The group is small, the tour guide is engaging & knows volcanos, and dinner is good. Personally I was hoping for a broader perspective on Hawaii, i.e. more than shopping here or there, and a chance to walk about more.
