Ideal for Pride of America passengers - We met this company in Hilo during our cruise ship call. I didn't thing twice to hire them in our next call to Kona. The timing for this tour is perfect, we enjoy the east side of Big Island and return to the pier with enough time.

Perfect Day Exploring the Kona Coast - This tour was everything we hoped for and more! The Kona Coast Tour took us through some of the most breathtaking parts of the island, from ancient lava fields to stunning coastal views and beautiful, secluded beaches. Each stop was unique and gave us a deeper appreciation for the Big Island’s natural beauty and volcanic history.
Our guide, Rom, was simply amazing. He was knowledgeable, funny, and so welcoming, sharing incredible insights about the land, Hawaiian culture, and even some hidden spots we would’ve never found on our own. His passion and warmth made the whole day feel relaxed and personal.
We never felt rushed, and the small group format made the experience feel truly tailored to us. If you're visiting Kona and want a tour that’s both scenic and meaningful, this is the one to book and Rom is the guide to ask for!

Incredible Experience - We had an amazing day exploring the Kona Coast with Nomad Tours! The scenery was absolutely stunning, from ancient lava fields to secluded white sand beaches, every stop was more beautiful than the last. The landscapes were so diverse, and we got to learn so much about the island’s volcanic history and unique ecosystems.
What made the tour truly unforgettable was our guide, Rom. He was knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly warm. You can tell he loves the island and sharing it with others. His storytelling, local insights, and attention to detail made the experience feel personal and authentic. He even captured some beautiful family photos for us along the way!
If you want a tour that’s both informative and relaxed, with a guide who goes above and beyond, look no further. Nomad Tours and Rom are the real deal! Mahalo for an unforgettable day!

Cruisers be aware! - This review unfortunately can’t say much beyond communication, which was good. The operator texted when the tour was confirmed and was responsive to questions via text.
The BIG caveat for CRUISERS at a TENDER port: Our ship arrived in Kona, and while we were waiting for the captain to announce that tenders would begin, he instead informed us that swells were too high and it wasn’t safe to operate them. As a result, the port call was canceled.
I can’t fault the operator for not providing a full refund, as they were impacted as well. They did provide a 50% refund through Viator, which we appreciated. However, our party of six still lost out, not only on experiencing Kona and that part of the Big Island on what was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but also financially. It was especially frustrating since passengers who booked through the cruise line or cruise-friendly tour operators received full refunds.
Cruisers may want to consider this risk when booking with this tour operator.
