This was incredibly beautiful. It was a slower day so we had the waterfall pretty much to ourselves. Stellar. - This was an incredible experience. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been and because it was a slower day we pretty much had the place to ourselves..

Great Waterfall Experience - Great, quiet, beautiful location! Lots of trails, lots of palm trees, and a great waterfall and cool pool of water to beat the heat!

Great experience! - Falls were beautiful and hospitality was great. Showers were a nice touch. Pond below falls is not easy to get into so much sure you bring water shoes.

Amazing! - So pretty and the bamboo garden was a nice bonus. We even had the place to ourselves for a little bit. We will absolutely be back.

Perfect day at the waterfalls! - This was one of our favorite things we did during our week on the big island. The whole family (12 yo to 47 yo) loved it. It was beautiful and so fun. We did rent the kayak and paddleboard (which is extra) and are glad we did. I could understand being disappointed if the conditions didn’t allow for swimming, but thankfully we had a perfect day swimming and enjoying the property! The welcome we got was so great and then we used the showers afterwards as we were flying home that night. It all worked out perfectly. Thank you for the memories!

Amazing waterfall swimming - We visited as we were looking for a waterfall that we could hike to and swim in. We had an amazing experience. The grounds are absolutely stunning with views out to Hilo Bay. We were greeted by the friendly staff who gave us an overview of the property. It’s a short hike down to the waterfall where you can rent standup paddle boards and kayaks. We rented SUP for 30 mins which was enough time. The water was clear and cool but not cold. We then hiked back up through several bamboo patches. Will definitely go back.

Once in a lifetime - We went with family and friends. The location is in a beautiful private scenic space looking up at the falls. The options for swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing provided variety amongst the group to fit each of our vibes. The staff were friendly and kind. It provided us with a once in a lifetime experience. We are so grateful to have been allowed access to this one of a kind location.

Beautiful but overpriced - While the Falls are beautiful, the price of this activity is not worth it. Also, don't rent a kayak as all you do is go around in circles in the Falls "pond." We did it once but wouldn't do it again. Also, be prepared. They ask you for so much information to get in. Driver's license picture, a photo in addition to your driver's license and this is for each person in your party. Overload in my opinion. Honestly, I would spend my money elsewhere. You can see other waterfalls for free.

Pretty Waterfall, Disappointing Experience - Let me preface this by saying that every staff person we encountered at the Falls was kind and helpful. The low review is simply based on the activity/experience itself. We chose to do a day pass for Kulaniapia Falls as a way to have an easy, low-crowd way to swim under a waterfall. I looked at the waterfall conditions before we drove the 2 hours from Kona to Hilo, and from my non-professional eye, it looked like we wouldn't have any issues. However, when we arrived, we were told that conditions did not allow for safe swimming, kayaking, or any other water activity. Now, nature and waterfall conditions are obviously not something they have any control over, and they do make it clear throughout the booking that it's not promised. But, with that off limits, there's really not much else to do. We were pretty disappointed in the experience as a whole, especially given how much we paid. We also pre-purchased the "grab & go" lunches, and I would recommend saving your $20 and bringing your own sandwich.

Much smaller than expected - The excursion is over priced for what you get. We expected a much bigger property to explore based on the description. There are basically two short trails and the pond under the waterfall.
