Book this tour! - Great experience. The crew was very helpful and knowledgeable. We saw up to 8 Mantas for just about the whole time we were in the water.Quick, 5 minute boat ride out and in was appreciated. 40 minutes was plenty of time in the water. After viewing the other tour boats and groups, I was glad to have booked with Seaquest as we were a smaller group.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE with a FANTASTIC CREW - WOW!!!! This experience was absolutely amazing! It all started with the staff at SEA QUEST!!! From the first contact in making the reservation, to the frequent texts until our night, to the warm welcome when we arrived, to the detailed safety talk, to the moment we were in the water with these amazing creatures!! I cannot say enough about this crew!

Great experience - What a great experience! We were able to see around 8 manta rays. They started coming right when we started. It was awesome. I highly recommend this tour! It was a little cold since it is February but it wasn’t too bad. The boat ride was short and you do not have to swim much at all. Hot chocolate and cookies to finish the tour. It was a great time.

Mantas and Controlled Chaos - Okay, let's do a good/bad/ugly. The Good: The staff and the Mantas! The staff (Kevin, Rick, Jon, and Paola - sp?) were incredibly friendly and helpful at every part of the excursion - from check-in, to wetsuit fitting, to boat personnel, to in-water guides. They knew exactly what they were doing, were very knowledgeable about the Mantas we saw, and were very entertaining. The Mantas themselves were absolutely AMAZING!!! I know this can't happen every night but we had, at minimum, 7 different Mantas rolling and feeding below us so the excursion definitely delivered on the actual experience. Plus, we did get to spend 30-45 minutes in the water with the Mantas, so we really got to relax and enjoy. I will say that the staff told us to leave anything we wanted kept dry (personal belongings, clothes, towels) in their storage while we went out. I think this is more for space-saving purposes on the RIB than for keeping stuff dry and I would take my towel if we did it again. The Bad: Apparently where Sea Quest is located there are about 8000 other night-dive companies doing the same thing. This led to a massive amount of people trying to navigate cars, find parking, and find their host/company in an area where there isn't any parking. It was to the point where people were parking in areas that were clearly marked 'no parking' just because there was literally no where else to go (unless you wanted to park on the main road, Ali'i, which I don't think I would recommend for safety reasons). This chaotic environment and lack of parking led to.... The Ugly: My husband had parked in one of the 'no parking' areas similarly to most everyone else. Admittedly, where he parked was very close to the boat ramp. When we got back from our excursion, employees were backing in boat trailers and pulling boats out one after the other. I had, unfortunately, gotten ridiculously sea sick on the RIB so I skipped the post-trip hot chocolate and went to sit by the car in misery. While I was sitting there, one of the employees (I don't know if it was a Sea Quest employee) started yelling about the idiots who parked their cars there and spraying the cars with sea water. NBD, I get it's frustrating. Unfortunately, when my husband came out this escalated to a screaming fight complete with cuss words and threats of violence ("get the f*ck off my island" and repeatedly charging up to the driver window as we were in the act of trying to move further away). I'm only grateful that my 8-year old son was still enjoying hot chocolate with the rest of my family because this was pretty unnerving, even for me as an adult. We have another excursion scheduled with Sea Quest in 2 days and are debating canceling it over this incident and the general chaos of the whole situation. It was a bummer and took the shin off the whole outing.
