Enjoy a breathtaking Kona sunset aboard our spacious 50’ catamaran as you cruise along the Kona coast, followed by an unforgettable adventure - snorkeling with the magnificent manta rays! Upon arrival, receive a comprehensive introduction to one of the ocean’s most enigmatic creatures. Join our professional and certified guides in the water as you snorkel with the majestic hahalua (manta rays). Snorkel gear, instruction, wetsuits, and swim noodles are provided. Complimentary water, juice, soft drinks, and hot cocoa are included.
Guests have the option to purchase beer, wine, and cocktails from our fully stocked bar.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Any tour participants that are getting in the water MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM without the assistance of a flotation device
- Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the water and MUST be accompanied by an adult on the vessel at all times

- We offer discounted self parking at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel. Parking charge is $13 for up to 5.5 hours. Please remember to bring your parking ticket with you at check-in.
- PLEASE NOTE that trip start times VARY throughout the year to accommodate for the time changes of the setting sun.
- PLEASE NOTE that full-face snorkel masks are NOT allowed to be used by guests
- Not recommended for travelers that are not strong swimmers. If guest is not a competent swimmer (as determined by the Captain and/or crew), they will be directed to immediately return to the vessel. In such instances the guest will NOT be refunded
- Not recommended for travelers that are prone to seasickness / motion sickness
- Guests weighing more than 300 lb (136 kg) are NOT allowed in the water as our water entry / exit staircase has a specific weight limit
- Not recommended for travelers with a history of panic attacks

Best sunset manta experience ever. - This was an incredible adventure. The Captain Jacque was a wealth of information with a sense of humor. The crew Keawe,Micah,shrek and Kamulai had everyone geared up and comfortable for this amazing experience. In the water telling us everything we needed to know about these amazing creatures. Then out of the blue swam up with mouth wide open this majestic manta barrel rolls inches from our faces. OMG. I think we seen three or four different mantas while just floating on the surface. Oh ya I can’t forget about the boat, 50 foot catamaran, it was clean and spacious with full bar for purchase and complimentary soda juice. Looking forward to coming back and doing a day trip.

Seamless adventure- tight crew! - This excursion was so well put together!
Mali explained what to expect, Captain Jacques went over the activities and guidelines, and the crew was well organized to take care of everything and everyone. Seamless! The boat ride was great- we watched the sun set. I’m not a great swimmer, but it was easy getting from the boat to the platform. (Pool noodles are provided to assist and to keep us horizontal during viewing.) We saw 6-10 rays (some could have been the same). Wear your swimsuit and shoes/sandals. Just take a towel and jacket or coverup for the boat ride back. I took a hair tie to keep it out of the snorkel that is provided, and I took a Dramamine a couple of hours before. (Bag, small backpack or tote.) Water, tea, ginger ale and hot cocoa are provided. Take a credit card if you want a hard drink. You can leave a cash tip or go through Venmo.

Mother's Day Gift to Myself - Booked this tour on Mother's Day. I loved everything about it!! The boat was roomy & equipped with everything you would need, including 2 bathrooms onboard. Boat has a staircase that is lowered into the water so very easy to enter, no awkward ladders to deal with. The crew & captain Jacque were very professional, friendly and funny. I felt very safe in their hands. The manta rays put on a show that night. As the boat approached the snorkel area, not 1, but 2 manta rays jumped completely out of the water towards us, as if flying through the air with their wings spread wide. The rays were circling in the water even before we entered. Once positioned on the light board, we had non-stop rays swimming past our faces, doing flips in the water and even had several of them touch me with their wings. Talk about thrilling! I was so focused on the rays that I didn't hear when they called us back to boat. Back on the boat, I had the complimentary hot cocoa but you could also purchase adult beverages. This tour was the highlight of my trip. I definitely recommend Kona Style for this tour, forget the smaller boats. So glad we booked with Kona Style at the recommendation of our timeshare staff, Heather. Unfortunately, the GoPro video did not come out but I will cherish the memories from that day. MUST DO! - The night manta ray trip is by far a must! and I would recommend KonaStyle Hawaii as your go to crew! They were an amazing crew and did everything they could to make sure it was a safe, enjoyable, and amazing experience. I could not recommend them more!

Just Wow !!! - WOW ! AMAZING! We saw an amazing sunset as we took the boat to the spot.
As soon as we got in the water we saw manta rays! They are beautiful, majestic creatures.
The Captain and his crew were very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. They were in the water with us making sure everyone was ok, comfortable and still answering questions and giving information about the rays!
I highly recommend this tour !

Manta Ray’s putting on a show! - Absolutely incredible. There were manta’s in the water from the second we stepped off the boat and put our faces in the water until the excursion was over and we had to swim back to the boat. The manta’s were circling us getting within centimeters of our faces, I had at least a dozen episodes of the mantas finn’s touching me. 10 out of 10 recommend.
The crew was fantastic. I would recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the big island.

What an incredible... - What an incredible experience. We saw 5 mantas total and they put on a magical show. The crew was wonderful and made sure everyone felt comfortable. I highly recommend this experience for all!

Party with the Mantas Kona Style ;) - I cannot recommend KonaStyle enough. The crew were phenomenal. We loved their high energy and welcoming atmosphere. Special shout out to Deon, who made us amazing drinks and brought the party. I also loved how Jacque would share cultural facts and landmarks with us during the drive. I was a bit nervous about being in the ocean at night, but the crew was so knowledgeable and careful that I was instantly put at ease. The Mantas came right up to our face, it was incredible! This is a trip I will absolutely repeat everytime I come to the island. Don’t walk, run to KonaStyle!

Two-for-one! - Great boat! Calm, capable, fun-loving captain and crew. The mantas are sooooooo amazing. What a thrill to be one-inch away from their graceful water ballet. Felt safe and taken care of the whole time. It’s really two excursions… mantas plus beautiful sunset cruise!
