Pick-up or check-in time & location:

6:00 AM – Depart from Maui OGG on your flight to Hilo ITO.

8:10 AM – Meet your knowledgeable guide at Hilo Airport and start your Big Island adventure.

7:15 AM – Visit Rainbow Falls State Park, where cascading waters and lush surroundings create a breathtaking natural scene.

7:45 AM – Explore Historic Hilo Town and nearby parks, enjoying the local culture and charm.

8:45 AM – Stop at a Black Sand Beach, formed by volcanic lava, ideal for a short walk and photos.

10:00 AM – Discover Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. Witness dramatic craters, steaming vents, and vast lava fields at your leisure.

1:30 PM – Leave the National Park and head back to Hilo.

3:50 PM – Arrive at Hilo Airport for your return flight.

5:00 PM – Flight departs Hilo back to Maui.

The tour begins at OGG. Please ensure arrival at OGG by 5:00 AM for the 6:00 AM Hawaiian Airlines flights to Honolulu and subsequently to Hilo. Guest flight information is included in their email confirmation. Upon reaching Hilo, the tour guide will be waiting at ITO (turn right after descending the escalators to find the tour vehicle). The tour includes visits and stops at various locations, culminating at the renowned Rainbow Falls State Park on the town’s outskirts. The tour’s highlight is the numerous stops within Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, offering views of an active volcano and historical craters along Chain of Craters Road. Witness the steam vents and observe the crater’s damage from the latest eruption. The guide will ensure a return to ITO airport in Hilo for the flight back to Maui, where, if included in the package, a driver will meet guests at the airport to transport them back to their hotel. Overall, it is a 9-hour adventure on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
