Wonderful Day! - Our guide Verny was so knowledgeable and catered to our every need. We did this all day tour with an 18 month old baby and her was so patient and kind. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are staying in Tamarindo and want to venture out and see more of Costa Rica. All of the stops including the lunch were exceptional. Verny took pictures and sent them to me so we basically had a personal driver and photographer. Thank you Verny, you represent your country well.

Amazing— BEST TOUR OF OUR VACATION!!!! - My Fiancé and I are in our 20’s and took a trip to Costa Rica for fun. We stayed in Tamarindo and did the usual adventure stuff ATV’s, surfing, etc. We booked one last tour of the trip and wanted to see and learn more about this beautiful country. This tour went above and beyond our expectations!!! First of all, I am unfortunately a last minute planner and booked this tour at 4pm the day before. The confirmed via WhatsApp about 20 mins later and Anthony was there to pick us up ant 6:30am the next day! Our tour guide, Anthony, is the owner of the company and was an incredibly wonderful human! He made sure we had fun throughout the whole day and was incredibly personable and so knowledgeable about CR! He made sure we got lots of amazing picture, let us spend as much time as we desired at each stop, and even let us take pit-stops at extra locations, shops, etc. This tour is well worth the money as it is completely private to just your group and will have you seeing so many highlights. I personally loved the Llanos De Cortes waterfall and we even did a bit of an extra hike there to get better views of the monkeys and the top of the falls. We also had a once in a lifetime experience seeing the sloths come down from the trees! Coffee and chocolate tour was fun and delicious!! I seriously do not have enough good things to say. Loved this tour and if we find ourselves in Costa Rica again I will be booking everything with On The Road Costa Rica! Truly the best! If you are even thinking about doing this trip— DO IT!!! Best part of our vacation and will be recommending to everyone we know.

Best of all, I know for sure I didn’t just get lucky with my tour guide, because we were lead by the owner of the company, who explained how they choose only the best of the best tour guides to reliably deliver great service. This was funnily enough demonstrated when we ran into another tour group from this company, and their tour guide went above and beyond for their group and us (and we weren’t even part of their tour group!).

The Whole Package Tour - Our guide Verney, was absolutely fantastic, extremely knowledgeable about all the local customs, history, animals, food, culture, etc. we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He gave us very personalized service and made us feel extremely welcome. He also made sure that we got a chance to see every single little creature in the rainforest possible and took the most amazing photos we’ve ever seen, and those were provided to us to share with friends and family and something for us to keep those alone were worth the tour then we were taken to the waterfall, which was extremely beautiful to see and very, very refreshing. We went to a chocolate and coffee tour and got to experience, coffee and chocolate from the beginning, and we did an extra little stop across the street at another little sanctuary and saw yet more sloths, frogs, snakes, and monkeys it’s one of the very best tours to take in Costa Rica while here it’s a must do and you will be beyond pleased with your tour and your tour guide as well worth every single penny

Awesome Tour with Personalized Service! - Wow, where do we begin? So much service we felt like royalty 😊 Verny was our guide and driver extraordinaire – promised a lot and OVER delivered! He communicated via What’s App the night before to remind us what to wear and bring for the day – swim suits for our first stop at the waterfall, mosquito repellant and rain jackets for the next stop at the rain forest sanctuary, appetites for the local lunch, coffee and chocolate experience last. An additional surprise from Verny – stopped at a roadside fruit market to purchase fruit because we had mentioned there was no fruit available at our hotel– he then prepared and served it to us after our swim at the waterfall! Brought lounge chairs for us to sit at the waterfall (I'm sure all the other people there were wondering who we were to be receiving such royal service!) Verny is extremely knowledgeable of all things Costa Rica giving us insight to the local economies, flora and fauna. You could easily walk by these reptiles and birds and not see them, but he was sure to point out and photograph for us 3 kinds of frogs, 2 Viper snakes (totally hidden) several sloths including a young sloth close up! Enjoyed a wonderful lunch in a local café and saw Rainbow and Yellow Bill Toucans outside there! Loved the Coffee and Cacao tour, Anna was our delightful guide - we had fun grinding the coffee and chocolate, then enjoyed drinking a cup of each. We felt so lucky to be on this private tour. Verny gave us an extra surprise with a short walk through another sanctuary where we saw spider monkeys and an adorable super young baby sloth the sanctuary managers were hoping would be adopted by another mom. We received amazing photos Verny shared with us as well as laughs and conversation along the way. Verny made our Costa Rica vacation an incredible experience!

Sloth and Wildlife Sanctuary/Coffee and Chocolate tour - Amazing tour with Verny. While heading to our event Verny educated us with the history of Costa Rica. Meanwhile always making sure our group of 6 was comfortable and needed anything. Once we reached the Sloth park Josephine greeted us and also assisted with the park tour. They both successfully showed us what the wonderful beauty of rainforest provided. Just to name few what we saw Sloths, frogs, birds, snakes, bats, termites(which some ate). Then we had the traditional costa rica meal for lunch. Outstanding food ❤️ . Next was the coffee/chocolate tour. Learned from the beginning to the end of enjoying a cup of coffee and hot chocolate. Verny was with us the whole time and captured pictures for us. I would highly recommend Verny with ontheroad costa rica for your best tour guide and company. Verny your compassion for costa rica and love of nature has made our trip to Tamarindo amazing.

Sloth and wildlife sanctuary/Chocolate and coffee tour. - Our guide had extensive knowledge of the history of the wildlife and vegetation. The staff at the sanctuary and plantation worked very well with our guide. They shared beautiful photographs with us. I highly recommend this company. Also,our tour guide Verny was so fun!
