Lovely local trip with history and culture - We were very lucky with the weather and had a fabulous trip to Gernika, Mundaka and San Juan. The hike up and down is very manageable, but you will break a sweat if the weather is sunny. Thanks to our guide who was friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend doing this while on Bilbao.

Would book with them again - Great trip! We had booked a small tour with 8 people and an English speaking guide. Asia was sweet and attentive to us all, answered everyone’s questions from the best of his ability and gave us some unforgettable experiences. Even after the trip was over, he met with us to help with experiences in Bilbao and the surrounding area. Can warmly recommend it.

Fantastic guided tour - We had a really good trip under knowledgeable guidance of our guide Joserra29. The nature, the views beyond the coast and of course the fascinating Gaztelugatxe speak for themselves, but what gave it that “little extra” was our guide’s story of big and small, history and the present, art and everyday life that gave us completely new perspectives on the local area.

A wonderful place, an excellent guide. - The place is very nice, the guide was excellent just like the bus driver, the day did not help much I do not imagine how beautiful it must be with sun. I'd surely come back

Fantastic Tour and Tour Guide - The trip with our guide Eduardo de Juana was a charming experience. Our tour was the Gaztelugatxe, Mundaka & Gernika from Bilbao. First, we visited and were able to hear history, and share our own interpretations of Guernica. Eduardo does not come across as he knows everything. Instead he interacted with us and listened to all our comments. Naturally, we learned quite a bit of fascinating information about the culture and traditions of the basque people. Next we stopped to enjoy the seaside view and a tasty snack at Mundaka. It was a welcome relax before continuing. After that, we enjoyed and suffered the climbs to see Gaztelugatxe - tiring but beautiful! Even though Eduardo has done this trip many times before he instilled in us a wanting desire to reach the pinnacle of this picturesque site. His explanations made us all the more appreciative of the settings. As a guide he was kind and attentive and interested in us and great at what he does. In short, a humble yet talented tour guide. We enjoyed his going out of his way to take us to a restaurant on the way back to Bilbao. I short you have Un Guia Fantastico! We would definitely repeat with him again

Awesome - Good places & nice tour guy (Eduardo). He he three places were fantastic, but the last place we visited (San Juan de Gaztelugatxe) the walking tour till the chapel was very intense, but at the same time was very impressed.

Awesome views, for a rewarding hike/ walk. - Pilar was awesome, attentive and you can tell she’s passionate about the Spanish/ Basque culture. The hike might come as a surprise, so be ready to hike up and down, specially this summer. They would provide water, but if it’s hotter you might need more, and just expect that it’s not going to be a leisurely walk but an active walk or an actual hike. But the views would be rewarding and hopefully the breeze would help with the heat. Highly recommended experience, if you want something active.

Read before considering - Description doesn’t give enough details. Read to better understand the tour. Hotel pick up was great! First we went to Gernica. Itinerary says Gatzelugatze first, which wasn’t accurate. Did tour through the Assembly Hall, saw the Picasso and city center. Was nice to learn about it. Next you go to Mundaka where you stop and see a nice over view. Then you only drive through Burmea. No tour it’s a very small town. Once you get to Gaztelugatxe, you park and hike almost a mile downhill on gravel. Hiking/ good sneakers are a MUST and the tour doesn’t mention this. Not good for someone with bad knees. I’m in good shape and this was difficult. Once you’re there, you can hike up to the top. We chose not to. There are no restrooms down here. The hike back was BRUTAL. It was at a MAJOR incline. If you are not physically fit this will be tough. It took us about 20 mins and I’ve never been more sweaty in my life. The itinerary says you stop for lunch in Gernica. As mentioned before that’s first stop and not the case. The only time you can eat is if you finish the hike early and have time to visit the bar. TLDR: far more intense than it describes. No lunch, and good shoes are required. Views are great.
