Superb! - Excellent wine and cheese tasting. Irene is a superb host and gave fantastic amount of information about the wines. We would very much recommend this tasting.

Great experience - Irene was amazing and very knowledgeable re. wines from different regions of Spain. We were here only 1 day on a cruise, the wine tasting did not disappoint. All the pours were very generous.

Amazing experience - This was THE best wine experience I’ve ever had. Irene was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about the craft and the world of wine, which made learning from her such a joy. The atmosphere was cozy. The wines and their pairings were absolutely delicious. We also had a wonderful group of people from all over the world and shared so many laughs throughout the experience. I would 100% recommend this, and if I get the chance to do another wine experience with Irene, I’m absolutely taking it!

Excellent wine tasting - Irene is an excellent sommelier who guided us through the Bask wines with humour and professional knowledge. We really liked the tasting and her stories of Bask wines and Spanish wines. Never knew those wines are so rich and tasteful. I would recommend her tasting session to anyone!

Great - Irene was a perfect sommelier, enthusiastic, informative and charming. Everything was perfect. I have but one suggestion : the directions to the restaurant /tasting room were not sufficient.

Best wine gastrobar. - Excellent Gasfro wine bar that not only has a great selection of wines but also food, a gourmet store, meeting areas and cooking and wine tasting classes. Irene the owner is a top sommelier who is very friendly, polite and made wine reccomendations for us. Will return to this place everytime we return to Bilbao.

The owners are wonderful- you will have a-great time - Irene led a very detailed and engaging Spanish Wine tasting. My husband is a sommelier and thoroughly enjoyed deepening his understanding of the various regions. After the tasting, we stayed for pinxtos and wine and David helped us explore a variety of tasty dishes. I highly recommend the tasting, the food, and the wine shop. You will have a great time.

Amazing wines, wonderful host - If I could give this wine tasting 10 stars I would! Irene was an incredible host, attentive, passionate and so knowledgeable about wines not just from the Basque country but from all around the world. The whole experience was a joy from start to finish :)

Educational Experience - Ireane taught us the technique of experiencing wines like a pro while pairing them with different appetizers. My friend and I found it very educational because we also learned how the wines were made and from what regions they came from. Afterwards, we were able to purchase the wines and some of the cheeses we had tried to enjoy back at our hotel.

Best Wine Tasting of its Kind I Have Ever Been To - When we’re in a city we usually book a wine tasting. They are usually interesting but can be quite perfunctory and I often feel the person giving the talk is quite bored by repetition. And there are usually one or wines which aren’t up to much.
This was an absolutely brilliant counter-example. Irene was engaging and interested and the wines were very carefully and cleverly chosen, from small local producers that Irene knew, to give us wines we would never otherwise have encountered. All were excellent.
The venue was also excellent and we stayed for a superb dinner afterwards. Owner David, a British partner of Basque Irene was very helpful in creating gluten free vegetarian options for my wife.
