Fab Cafe & Shop - Great fun day thanks to free tickets from The Sun 🌞 having our very own family bar of dairy milk with our photo on the front was the highlight. there is lots of fun things to try and the 4d cinema is good. Lots of childhood memories flashback when you see the vintage items and adverts, my favourite thing as a kid use to the the 2p machine with those micro bars 👏 And what about the free chocolate I hear you cry? You get a 100g dairy milk bar each on entry, a little pot of hot melted when you get to the factory part, plus when you go on the quest ride you get a small bar of caramel dairy milk. So just enough get the taste 👅 but not too much that it will do in your health plan 🙌😜 the shop and cafe was also fab - and you can go in these without even going inside the paid area. Will defo go back for the afternoon tea as this had to be booked in advanced.

A fantastic Day out at Cadbury World - From the time we walked into Cadbury World , the staff were absolutely amazing, to start our journey we had a fabulous Cadbury tea for two pre booked, the food was beautiful, the staff were all pleasant and Sheila who works there was very helpful and knowledgeable, she definitely enhanced our experience, well done Cadbury World , we had an enjoyable day .

Great for younger or much older family members - Lovely trip . Not too busy midweek . Had three free chocolate bars and a chocolate pot . Lots to see and experience . Rides were good for our age group not certain the teens would like it . Lots of nostalgic adverts . Good baby feed area and lovely staff . Only down side was expensive cafe with rather uninspired food choices .

We enjoyed it ;-) - Cadbury send us last week email to let us know they will shut early at 3.30pm today and asked us to come in early as we booked ages ago(last year)what was ok...but we needed take kids early from school...what was not a big problem:-). Yesterday I received phone call from Cadbury customer service (what was really nice) to make sure I received email and to double check with us if we are aware of early closure. They lady on the phone was really nice...so...we visited today... We book Cadbury for birthday celebration for our girls as we never been there before and I thought it will be good idea to go and learn something new and obviously try it some chocolate as all kids/adults love it 😍 ...and I have to say it was really good experience and Cadbury World did not disappoint us... kids love it...we adults love it ...it was not to busy ...just perfect...even weather was good 👍 and sunny 😎. We didn't have to queue it for anything(only to pay at shop for our chocolates but not for long) We really liked outside play ground on the end of the trip around the factory ...we think it was a great as kids could burn it off all this sugar they ate before going back home to the car 😁 🤣 All in all it was really good couple hours and we recommend to anyone ;-)

Cute experience for chocolate loving kids - Good place for Cadbury Chocolate lovers. It has few rides for young kids. You can see how chocolate is made, try your hands with making your own chocolates and grab a lot of chocolates. Perfect place for people curious about history of chocolate making and Cabury in particular.

Couples visits to cadbury world on Saturday 15th March 2025 Timeslot 12.30pm - Our first time visiting Cadbury World on Sat 15TH March 2025 timeslot: 12:30pm the whole experience from start to finish was just magical making amazing memories it really bought back back my childhood dream of the film Charlie and the chocolate factory when entering. Both Me and my partner enjoyed the 4d cinema, the dark ride and even the white full works hot chocolates from the cafe. All the staff we encountered were lovely and friendly. When it comes to the green screen. We Had Our photos taken and did various of different fun poses . At The end WE visited The gift shop to view our photos and to buy merch when We noticed my face was being covered the team offered to retake them for us. Then WE got shown the new photos and left Happy. We Would like to give a special mention to Talia, Halima and Adam you all went Above and beyond Thank-You so much. Hope to visit again soon would recommend to all.

A very tasty tour. - We had brought our children here a couple of times when they were younger, but we were back in the area and so decided to re-visit. Our children are adults now but they still love chocolate. The two children we had with us have Autism so we booked a mid afternoon appointment hoping it would be quieter. A group of school children were just leaving and after that it was mainly pre school children. The first section of the tour goes through the history of cocoa beans and chocolate. This now has interactive screens which our sons enjoyed and meant they didn't just whizz through. On the tour there is a demonstration on how chocolate cools and is heated and what happens, some projected scenes and some areas where there was lots to look at and read, the latter being the part they went through a bit quicker. There is also a collection of Cadbury memorabilia which I would have liked to taken more time looking around but it was one of the last things so they were both struggling by this point. We all loved the ride, where you have to hit targets as you go around. I am a wheelchair user so transferred to one of the supplied wheelchairs and put on a boat around the corner from where you would normally queue. It all happened so fast we didn't get a chance to say one of our boys needed to come with me and one with Dad as they both require a carer. So they were sent off on their own. Thankfully there were no issues but they finished the ride a few minutes before us and were a little worried where we had got to. They both had the sense to wait in the shop where we eventually caught up with them. The cinema experience was good, although I think sitting further back would have made it more 3D, but wheelchairs don't climb stairs! We also enjoyed the sample of warm gooey chocolate with our choice of toppings. Our only disappointment was that the cafe closed early for maintenance so we couldn't enjoy a drink after our tour. Overall, we all had a great time, and would probably return to the shop and cafe if in the area. It's a shame you cannot go in to see the collection separately from the tour but maybe one day we will return, perhaps with the grandchildren.

Queues, queues and more queues... - Such a disappointment. We went at the weekend and spent 2.5hrs in one big queue. Queue to get in, queue for the story, then immediately into another queue for the chocolate pot. Down the stairs into the queue for 30 seconds of chocolate drawing/tempering. Outside for another queue for the 4d cinema (best bit of the tour). Back inside for the final queue for the ride and out you pop into the gift shop where all the chocolate on sale you can find cheaper at your local supermarket. We were there 2.5hrs and basically queued for 2hrs of it. 3 bars of chocolate each and essentially half hour of activities for £80. What a rip off.

Well done Merlin - between you and Mondelez, you have both destroyed Bournville heritage! - I was born and raised in Bournville, so Cadbury World has been a familiar and cherished place throughout my life. Sadly, I now know that my recent visit will be my last. Wanting to share a piece of Birmingham’s history with my son’s girlfriend, who isn’t from the area, we decided to take her to Cadbury World during her visit. Unfortunately, I was left feeling embarrassed and disappointed. What was once a treasured historical gem has been turned into a tacky, commercialized attraction under Merlin’s management. The iconic factory tour — arguably the most fundamental reason to visit Cadbury World — is gone. We completed the visit in barely an hour, as there’s now so little to see, read, or experience. It’s incredibly disheartening to see such an iconic place reduced to this. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
