Ala-Archa National Park is a highly appealing destination for both tourists and locals near Bishkek. Situated 30 kilometers south of the capital, this natural park offers a wealth of opportunities for camping, hiking, trekking, and mountaineering. Visitors can explore numerous attractions, such as the Ractek hut, Adygene Lake, the Big Ala-Archa and Ak-Sai glaciers, along with the highest peaks of the Kyrgyz ridge: Korona Peak, Svobodnaya Korea Peak, Semenov-Tian-Shansky Peak, among others. Overall, Ala-Archa boasts over 150 mountain routes and numerous hiking trails. The gorge ranges in altitude from 1,600 to 4,860 meters above sea level and is home to many rare and beautiful plants, including the Tian-Shan fir, pine, juniper, birch, willow, and more. A variety of animal species, including those listed in the Red Book, inhabit the gorge.
