Bishkek - Burana - Iskra Village - Cholpon Ata

Burana Tower - Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. The journey begins with a visit to the Burana Tower, an ancient minaret located in the Chuy Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. The tower, along with funerary monuments, earthworks, castle remnants, and three mausoleums, are the surviving elements of the ancient town of Balasagyn, founded by the Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century.

Tokmok - Enjoy lunch in Iskra Village with a Dungan family, an ethnic group of Chinese Muslims who sought refuge from China. Experience their traditional cuisine.

Issyk Kul Province - Depart for Issyk Kul, the largest lake in Kyrgyzstan and one of the world’s deepest. Travel to a hotel situated on the lake’s shore. The first stop at Issyk-Kul Lake is the petroglyph museum, which spans 42 hectares and features stones, tombs, balbals, and various petroglyphs dating from the 2nd millennium BC to the 4th century AD. Enjoy some free time to relax on the beach and swim in the lake. Dinner will be served at the restaurant.

Cholpon Ata - Semenov and Grigoriev Gorges - Karakol

Grigoryevka - Begin with breakfast at the hotel. The next destination is the Grigoriev and Semienov gorges. Enjoy a picnic or lunch at a café along the way. These gorges are among the most renowned attractions in the Issyk Kul region. Take a walk, appreciate the surrounding wild nature, and enjoy your time in this beautiful setting.

Karakol - Proceed to Karakol, the administrative center of the Issyk-Kul region. In Karakol, visit:

Tamga – Skazka – Bokonbaevo – Kochkor

Kochkor - Continue to Kochkor. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Kochkor – Son Kul Lake

Son Kul Lake - After breakfast, travel along winding mountain roads, ascending into the heart of Kyrgyzstan’s stunning landscapes until reaching the Kalmak Ashu Pass (3,447 m). From this elevated viewpoint, Son Kul Lake appears as a small turquoise gem set in the expansive highland plains. As you descend towards the lake, its full splendor is revealed — a vast, dazzling mirror of the sky surrounded by rolling green pastures. Upon arrival at the yurt camp, receive a warm welcome from the nomads, learning about their centuries-old traditions, lifestyle, and deep connection to the land. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner before spending the night in authentic yurts under a star-filled sky.

Son Kul Lake – Chon-Kemin

Chon-Kemin National Park - Head to the picturesque Chon-Kemin Valley, stopping in the charming village of Kochkor. Discover the rich tradition of felt-making, an art deeply embedded in Kyrgyz culture. Participate in a hands-on workshop with skilled local artisans, crafting your own miniature ala-kiyiz — the colorful, patterned felt carpet cherished by nomads for generations. Opt for a stroll through the peaceful village, surrounded by sweeping mountain views. Later, savor a freshly prepared traditional dinner — a perfect conclusion to a day of cultural exploration and natural beauty.

Chon-Kemin - Almaty

Almaty - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. Cross the border (Kyrgyzstan – Kazakhstan) and prepare for another stamp in your passport. Gather your belongings and get ready to add another country to your travel collection. The day’s goal is to reach Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour to explore highlights such as Independence Square, Zenkov Cathedral, Panfilov Park, and the impressive WWII memorial.

Almaty

Almaty - Continue the city tour in Almaty. Visit Medeo Gorge, home to the highest mountain sports complex at an altitude of 1691 meters. Medeo is a popular weekend destination for Almaty residents. Next, head to Kok Tobe, the city’s highest point, renowned for its panoramic views. Take a cable car ride from near Hotel Kazakhstan, passing over some of Almaty’s oldest areas and beautiful fruit gardens. Upon reaching Kok Tobe hill, admire the famous 372-meter-high TV Tower, offering spectacular views of the mountains and city, along with several attractions at the top.

Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Almaty

Charyn Canyon - Located in the national park, Charyn Canyon is often compared to the Grand Canyon in the United States. The erosion by the Charyn River has created dramatic and impressive landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy the breathtaking panorama and descend to the gorge’s bottom to hike approximately 2 km through the Valley of the Castles’ labyrinth.
