Most of the time is spent exploring these valleys, away from larger crowds. Delve deep into lush rainforest areas and scenic lookouts.
- Glenbrook - As the tour passes through the lower mountain villages, there will be a quick stop here. Enjoy a possible national park scenic drive and wildlife spotting, with an optional visit to the town showcasing the diversity of charming villages that most groups overlook.
- Leura - The group will discuss where to stop for lunch, choosing between Katoomba or Leura.
- Katoomba - Stop in Katoomba for lunch and a leisurely stroll through the township.
- The Three Sisters - The tour concludes with a visit to Echo Point to see the Three Sisters in the afternoon, bathed in the beautiful golden light from the west.
- Wentworth Falls - Take a walk into the rainforest to explore the northeastern edge of The Jamison Valley. This is the most stunning waterfall in the mountains and a must-see when visiting the region. Enjoy a walk to view the falls and experience a surprising variety of spectacular views!
- Scenic World Blue Mountains - An optional stop at Scenic World allows for a ride on the world’s steepest railway, descending into the Jamison Valley for a walk in the native forest. Then, take the scenic cableway to the top station for a ride on the Scenic Skyway, offering panoramic views across the valley. This is not included but can be discussed on the day.
- Govetts Leap - If time permits, the tour will drive to Govetts Leap in Blackheath for views overlooking the Grose Valley.

Stunning scenery, great guide - Fantastic tour with Dave, who was both friendly and knowledgeable and made it personalised by taking us to places that the big tour companies cannot access. The experience far exceeded our expectations and was a lovely way to end our holiday in Australia. Highly recommend, Laura and Ian

Spectacular Day - We are a family of four adults and booked a day tour of the Blue Mountains with Escape Scenes. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. The vehicle was new, spotless, and very comfortable, complete with USB charging ports for convenience.
Our tour guide, Dave, was exceptional. He tailored the entire tour to suit our interests and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the day. He even provided drinks and Tim Tams, which was a lovely touch!
Dave took us to a range of stunning lookouts and some hidden gems we would have never found on our own. All in all, it was a spectacular and memorable tour — highly recommended!

Private Blue Mountains Tour - Fantastic customized tour of the Blue Mountains! Dave went out of his way to avoid crowds and show us great spots where the tour buses couldn’t go. He also ensured we had the time we wanted at each stop. Totally recommend this tour!

Absolutely fantastic! - Our tour guide Brett exceeded all expectations. His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion made our day extra special. It was lovely to have the options open rather than be with other tourists which made the day very personal and much more fun. 100% recommend.

Fantastic day with Brett! - Brett was amazing ! He was so knowledgeable , flexible and ensured we had an amazing day in the Blue Mountains. We will be back and definitely would want to have Brett be our guide. Not only in the Blue Mountains but all the attractions of Sydney.

10/10. Book this now. - While planning our honeymoon to Sydney, Australia we knew that we absolutely had to see the Blue Mountains. After exhaustively searching for a tour excursion we chose Dave of Escape Scenes based on the numerous positive reviews from past travelers. This excursion almost immediately became one of the highlights of our honeymoon in no small part because of Dave’s expert, lived experience and knowledge. We opted for a full day private tour and we would encourage anyone else who is interested in seeing the Blue Mountains to do so as well. Dave was punctual, friendly, and welcoming. He possessed the unique skill of gently guiding our tour direction without overwhelming us or micromanaging. He is a guide in the truest sense of the word. We had an incredible, once in a lifetime experience full of magical vistas, enchanting waterfalls, and local color that we will be reminiscing about for years to come. Furthermore, his Mercedes van was pristine, stocked with beverages and made for a comfortable chariot that shepherded us from location to location. Dave even took the time to take us to several memorable local communities where we got to sample the fare and do some light shopping. In conclusion, do yourself a favor and book a tour of the Blue Mountains with Dave for your Australian adventure, it will exceed all expectations.

Blue Mountains Road Trip with Escape Scenes – A Truly Memorable Experience - We had an amazing trip with David from Escape Scenes, and it couldn’t have been better! He worked perfectly around our schedule and truly hit the mark on all the key highlights of the Blue Mountains.
We enjoyed multiple vantage points of the Three Sisters, each offering unique and breathtaking views. David also guided us to several stunning waterfalls and less-frequented scenic spots that most tourists miss. While you can’t expect to have the mountains entirely to yourself, David’s timing and route planning helped us avoid the worst of the bus crowds and made each stop feel relaxed and personal.
Lunch at a local pub in Katoomba was a great touch – classic fare washed down with a refreshing pint made for a perfect midday break.
David was not only knowledgeable and passionate about the area, but also humorous and engaging, which added a great vibe to the whole day. The transportation was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making the journey as enjoyable as the destinations.
Highly recommend Escape Scenes and David if you're looking for a personal, well-paced, and unforgettable Blue Mountains experience!

The Best Personalized Tour - My husband & I have been to Australia several times but never made it out to the Blue Mountains. This visit we debated whether to rent a car or join a tour. Instead, we found the perfect solution - David with Escape Scenes offers a private tour. Rather than hassle with a busload of people vying for position at viewpoints & following a strict itinerary, we were able to share our preferences ahead of time so David could tailor the day to us. He did a fantastic job avoiding the crowds, even taking us to some spots not accessible by bus. Even though we could have accessed these places by rental car, we would not have known all the good spots to visit, we would've had to hassle with the parking (including fees at several stops), and, most importantly, we would not have a guide. A guide not only provides navigation but, more importantly, has the knowledge to make recommendations and share interesting history & facts about the area, flora, fauna & people. David does all of that with a desire to cater to your likes (or dislikes). He's very accommodating & will take photos for you along the way so you walk away with great memories & a pleasant experience!
