Outlander Day 1
Edinburgh - The tour begins with a pick-up from your accommodation at 8am, heading out of the city towards Midhope Castle.
Midhope Castle - At 9am, visit Midhope Castle, known as Lallybroch, the Fraser’s home in the Outlander series, also referred to as Broch Tuarach.

Outlander Day 1
Edinburgh - The tour begins with a pick-up from your accommodation at 8am, heading out of the city towards Midhope Castle.
Midhope Castle - At 9am, visit Midhope Castle, known as Lallybroch, the Fraser’s home in the Outlander series, also referred to as Broch Tuarach.
Blackness Castle - Blackness Castle served as the filming location for Fort William in the Outlander series.
Linlithgow Palace - Although currently closed for safety reasons, we will pass by Linlithgow Palace, where Wentworth Prison scenes were filmed, and view it from a distance.
Culross - Crossing the Firth of Forth, we visit the charming town of Culross, known as Cranesmuir in the Outlander series.
Falkland - Journeying through the Kingdom of Fife, we arrive at the quaint town of Falkland, depicted as Inverness in the Outlander series. We will spend an hour here and enjoy lunch.
The House of Bruar - Departing Falkland, we head north towards the real Inverness, stopping midway at The House of Bruar for a restroom break.
Clava Cairns - Explore Clava Cairns, a 4000-year-old ancient burial site, which inspired the fictional Craig na Dun in Outlander.
Culloden Battlefield - A short distance from Clava Cairns, visit Culloden Battlefield to see the Clan Fraser Gravestone, The Well of the Dead, the Memorial Cairn, and Old Leanach Cottage. On the return journey, we will pass The Kings Stables Station.
Old High St Stephen’s Church - Stop at the graveyard of The Old High Church/St Stephen’s, where Jacobite prisoners were held before execution. Observe the musket ball marks on the church wall.
Abertarff House - Visit Abertarff House, the oldest house in Inverness, dating back to 1536, which served as the Town House for the chiefs of Clan Fraser.
Inverness - The day concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation in Inverness, with an estimated arrival time of 18:00.
Outlander Day 2 and Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, The Great Glen, and Glencoe
Inverness Castle - Starting at 8am, we pass by Inverness Castle, featuring a statue of Flora Macdonald, renowned for aiding Bonnie Prince Charlie’s escape after the Battle of Culloden. The tune “The Skye Boat Song” shares its melody with the Outlander theme.
Beauly Priory - Travel to the quaint town of Beauly to visit Beauly Priory, a 13th-century monastery and ancient burial site for the Chiefs of Clans Fraser and Mackenzie.
Wardlaw Mausoleum - A short drive from Beauly, visit Wardlaw Mausoleum, the burial site of Clan Fraser. See the key from which a wedding ring was made, ascend the Bell Tower to ring the bell, and explore the Mausoleum.
Urquhart Castle - Journey over the hills to Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. Wander through the ruins and enjoy the stunning views of Loch Ness.
Fort Augustus - Continue along Loch Ness to Fort Augustus for a brief stop to view The Caledonian Canal locks.
Commando Monument - Further along the Great Glen, pause at The Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, with the hope of a clear view of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
Fort William - At the end of The Great Glen, pass through Fort William without stopping.
Glencoe Visitor Centre - A short drive south of Fort William leads to Glencoe, where we visit the visitor centre and see a replica of a 17th-century dwelling. Lunch is enjoyed in this scenic area.
Doune Castle - Traveling through The Trossachs, the final visit of the 2-day Outlander tour is Doune Castle, known as Castle Leoch in the series and home to The Mackenzie Family.
Edinburgh - After visiting Doune Castle, return to your accommodation in Edinburgh, with an estimated arrival time between 17:30 and 18:00.
