Great ring road tour - It was an amazing trip. The guide, Juliana is very nice and accommodating. The tour is packed with fun activities, ice cave, glacier hike, whale watch and waterfalls for sure! Truly enjoyed.

An amazing trip to Iceland in May - Our trip to Iceland with Troll exceeded all our expectations. The itinerary was well planned and full of surprises each day. The bus ride is smooth, we enjoyed every stop throughout the journey. The weather was nice and cool, with some rain but mostly dry. We love our tour guide, Johann, who brought the land of fire and ice to life with his passion and expertise. He introduced to us Iceland's unique geologic characteristics, regaled us with local stories, shared insights into local culture, and offered pro tips on the best food and shopping experiences. As we marveled at the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounded us, we were also impressed by the great quality of our accommodations. Each hotel was immaculately clean and comfortable, also thoughtfully situated, offering either stunning views or immersion into charming Icelandic towns.

Exciting and Unforgettable Trip - The tour started on 21 March 2025. The mimi bus came on time with a friendly welcome by Thor, an experienced tour guide. During the tour, the following points are highlighted. 1. The schedule was well planned with a variety of wonderful events such as waterfall seeing, glacier hiking, ice-caving, horse riding and whale watching etc. 2. Extra sight-seeing spots were offered by Thor to enrich our tour experience. 3. Detailed explanation by Thor was always available. He was ready to give satisfactory answers whenever any queries were raised. 4. Though no meal was offered, Thor thoroughly planned where and when for teammates to take their meal. 5. As we hired boots for hiking and others, Thor advised us when to use them in due course

Incredible journey through Iceland - Kristinn was our guide for this incredible journey through Iceland. He was an incredible planner. We were able to see Glacier Lagoon, Kayla ice cave, Diamond beach, all of the waterfalls throughout the Golden Circle. We hiked a glacier, rode Icelandic horses, saw a whale, wild reindeer, and many sheep! Kristinn also watched his apps for the Northern Lights and we were able to see the 4 times!! I loved this tour because we stayed in the countryside and small towns and truly got to experience Iceland. We did so much more! Kristinn really brought Iceland alive to us through his stories, history and humor. What a fantastic guide! Thank you Kristinn!!

Amazing complete tour of Iceland - John our tour guide was amazing, very funny and friendly. Always hosted a geography quiz every morning about the day before, making sure you can pronounce and say the names of places properly like the volcano Eyjafjallajökull. If you get John as your guide you are destined going to have a good time. The tour covered all around iceland seeing everything we wished to (except whales cause the weather cancelled that). Many waterfalls, volcano's, glaciers and ice and snow everywhere. We were lucky enough to have 4 nights with the northern lights too. Truly an otherworldly tour, if you want to know what being on another planet is like come to Iceland and do this tour.

Iceland Six Days - The six-day tour of the island, the tour guide and driver Iskren is a great Guide, will be very seriously arranged Attractions, also just encountered a great explosion of light, brought us three days in a row of great light, to a place without light especially beautiful. The American grandparents and grandmothers of the group are also good people, and there are foreign couples who spend their honeymoon, and they are very nice, which is worth a trip.

Outstanding customer service, fabulous trip - I did the 6-day Toll Bus trip at the end of July, 2024. I had a photo trip with another company booked that cancelled 92 days before departure so I was in a panic trying to get a replacement trip to go with my flights and other booked activities. Troll Bus fit the bill, answered all my questions throughout several phone calls, calmed me down and booked my trip just 90 days out. In addition to this 6-day trip, I did a Troll Bus daytrip, and that’s where I really put the customer service reps through the paces, booking, then cancelling, then changing, then booking something else. They have a generous cancellation policy and took all the changes in stride. They were helpful and patient every step of the way. I ended up with the daytrip that I wanted and it was fabulous, just like the 6-day trip. The 6-day Troll Bus Expedition goes to the places in Iceland you’ve seen and heard about along the ring road. There’s enough time to enjoy all the diverse and interesting spots. Waterfalls; glaciers that you can hike on and ones to look at; an ice cave; geysers; optional Icelandic horseback riding where you can experience a gait unique to Icelandic horses—the tolt; Icelandic Horses in the fields that you look at but don’t ride; volcanic lava fields; black sand beach with “diamonds” that are actually pieces of icebergs; meadows of flowers (in summer); hot springs you can bathe in; icebergs you can’t bathe in but can look at from shore and up close by boat with seals bobbing by; puffins very close on more than one outing; whale watching; beautiful scenery all over. We even saw and photographed the only mammal indigenous to Iceland, the Arctic Fox! This is not sold as a photography trip and it was not, but there were still many opportunities to take great photos. The guide was wonderful, such a fun guy. And very responsible and conscientious. He MADE the trip. Lovely accommodations all with wonderful breakfasts included. Most other food is on your own, and that helps keep costs very reasonable. Lots of stops at stores with healthy food you could buy, so you didn’t have to eat in the more expensive restaurants. But good restaurants were always an option too, except for maybe one meal on the go. Nice comfortable bus. Of course it would be, it’s the 18-passenger Troll Bus!

A Magical Journey - After careful review on the company I would book my trip to Iceland I can confidently recommend Troll Expeditions more! The entire journey was meticulously organized to cover the most iconic landmarks and attractions, offering a perfect blend of sightseeing and adventure. Our wonderful driver guide John Our wonderful driver guide John topped up the experience with adding him secret gems and always made sure each member of the group took in the beauty of this land.
