Day 2: Cai Rang Floating Market Experience

Cai Rang Floating Market - Rise early to experience the Mekong Delta at its most genuine and vibrant.

05:30 – Pick up from your homestay

Transfer to the boat station and board a traditional wooden sampan.

As the boat glides along the river at dawn, witness the breathtaking sunrise casting a golden glow over the water — a magical moment not to be missed. Shortly after, arrive at Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most vibrant market in the Mekong Delta. Your guide will share the intriguing history of this unique river-based trading hub and its significance to local life.

Enjoy a delightful Vietnamese breakfast on the boat — choose from a steaming bowl of noodle soup, a warm Bánh Mì, or soft Bánh Bao, just like the locals.

Cai Rang Floating Market - We then venture deeper into the Delta on a traditional boat to experience the authentic daily life of the Mekong people. Along the way, enjoy freshly cut pineapple right on the river and feel the rhythm of life on the water.

Next, explore a family-run rice noodle workshop. Learn how locals transform rice into paper, then into noodles, using traditional methods passed down through generations.

Cruising through narrow canals lined with water coconut and mangrove trees, discover the serene beauty of the Delta’s natural landscape. This tranquil part of the journey offers a chance to relax and enjoy nature at its purest.

Step ashore to stroll through charming countryside villages, where you’ll meet friendly locals, see traditional homes, and wander paths shaded by tropical trees. It’s a genuine glimpse into the daily life and quiet beauty of rural Vietnam.

Muoi Cuong Cocoa Farm - To conclude the tour, visit a unique organic cacao farm. Your guide will narrate the story of Mr. Cacao and explain how chocolate, wine, and cosmetics are crafted from the cacao fruit. Sip on creamy cacao milk and taste homemade cacao wine — a sweet and delightful way to end your experience.

Around 12:00 PM, enjoy a local lunch before returning to Can Tho city center. The tour concludes around 1:00 PM, though exact timing may vary slightly with the river’s tide. Regardless, a journey filled with memories and meaningful moments is guaranteed.
