Very impressive - It was a lovely day. First we went to the market and we already could get the taste of a lot of local food and did the grocery’s for the lunch. Then we went to a lovely place where we did the cooking and lunch. I learned a lot of new dish and flavors. The people were amazing. I really much enjoy it!

Amazing!! Asli texted a... - Amazing!! Asli texted a day before with a confirmation and when we arrived at the port the driver was waiting. We went to a market with fresh fruit, veggies, and fish; we even sampled food. Karnas vineyards, the cooking class location, was absolutely stunning and the experience was very enjoyable.

I’ve been to many... - I’ve been to many international cooking classes and this one was by far the best. Chef has so much knowledge of traditional Turkish dishes as so many good anecdotes. The farmers market was an added bonus to such a great class. I highly recommend.

Book this experience! - This tour was amazing! We started the day meeting our chef, Asli, at a Turkish farmers markets where all of the food looked fresh and colorful (something you don’t always see in the US!). She introduced us to many of the vendors and we were able to sample many foods from cheeses to nuts to dried fruit, and was greeted by Elvis the spice guy (when you go, ask to meet him!). After selecting our vegetables, many that are local to this region, we made our way to her kitchen at the Karnas Winery. A table was set up outside and we began slicing and chopping our vegetables and preparing our main dish. Asli helped us by giving us step-by-step guidance and we created a meal that was amazing. Did I mention that she’s a Michelin rated chef? When it was time to eat the food we prepared, Asli sat with us and we had an amazing conversation about the origin of the food and all of the different flavors. Overall, this was an amazing day and an amazing experience.

Fantastic cooking experience! - The cooking class was wonderful! Asli, our instructor, guide and Michelin rated chef, created a fantastic experience. Exploring the market with her was educational and fun. I feel as if we learned so much about the local food and produce. The food we prepared was some of the best tasting on our trip. Our class was capped off with a tour off the beautiful Karmas Winery. I highly recommend this class and enjoyed it so much we are going to do it again with another group of friends.

Incredible food in a fun atmosphere - This was such a fun experience. The food we made was incredible, the staff that ran the experience were so nice and helpful, and trying all the different spices and dried herbs and fruit was a highlight. We absolutely loved doing this during our time in Bodrum. We came off a cruise ship for this and they picked us up and dropped us off at the port.

Long drive, but great experience. - This activity is not just 40 minutes drive, it is closer to an hour and a half each way. The market visit is not to buy the produce for the class. You will not get the recipes for what you prepare. You will not be doing the actual cooking, you will make more food than is actually served to you, another group having a full wine tasting and lunch will eat some of the food prepared by you. You will not have a wine tasting at the vineyard where the class is held. You will still have a great time, great wine and fantastic food.
