- Bodrum Castle - Start your morning at Bodrum Castle, constructed by the Knights of St. John, also known as the Knights Hospitaller. These were the same builders of Kos Castle in Greece. Originally named the Castle of St. Peter, this fortress took over a century to complete, from 1406 to 1523. Knights from various nations collaborated on its construction, and this is reflected in the naming of the towers after the participating countries: French, German, Italian, English, and Spanish. The castle served its purpose for over 120 years until the Ottoman army captured it in 1532, after which it became a garrison and prison until 1895.
- Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology - At the top of the stairs, discover the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, a highlight within Bodrum Castle. It showcases numerous underwater finds from the Aegean Sea, making it the largest museum of its kind. The collection includes amphoras, glass artifacts, metal weapons, treasures, and even a life-sized shipwreck, one of the oldest globally. Enjoy mini documentary videos featuring interviews with excavation participants, offering insights into the museum’s exhibits.

Though no longer operational, they attract thousands of tourists annually, offering a historical and cultural glimpse, a new perspective of the landscape, and a picturesque spot for memorable vacation photos.
- Bodrum Amphitheater - In ancient times, amphitheaters hosted theater, spectacles, gladiator fights, and public shows. The Bodrum Amphitheater was a cultural hub in antiquity and continues to serve its original purpose today. Climb the steps or attend a concert to experience the venue as visitors did centuries ago. Dating back to the 4th century BC, it was built by King Mausolos and features a classic Greco-Roman design. Originally known as the Theatre at Halicarnassus, it accommodated 13,000 spectators for performances and gladiator battles. In 1973, the Turkish government restored it, and it now seats 10,000 people.
