• Plaza de Mercado de Paloquemao - After being picked up, the journey will head towards the Paloquemao Market. Here, a tour of the entire market will be conducted, exploring its various sections and specific commercial areas. A fruit tasting session will follow, featuring a wide array of Colombia’s typical fruits, known for being both delicious and exotic. Information and history about these fruits, including their origins and harvesting methods, will be shared. Next, a coffee break will be enjoyed at “La Casona,” a charming café offering coffee produced in a region close to Bogotá. The market experience will conclude with a second tour and some delightful empanadas with optional Aji (spice). After these activities, transportation back to the pick-up location will be provided.
• Parque de los Periodistas Gabriel Garcia Marquez - A visit to the legendary local café, “Café Pasaje,” will be made. Here, guests can enjoy coffee or beer while observing the social phenomenon of emerald street vendors.
• Iglesia de San Francisco - Visits to two historically significant churches in the central area, La Iglesia de la Veracruz and La Iglesia de San Francisco, will be conducted.
• Plaza Del Chorro Del Quevedo - A walk through the Chorro de Quevedo, an ancient and impressive plaza known for its constant cultural activities, will be enjoyed. Its narrow, cobblestone paths are adorned with artisan shops and typical food vendors.
• Museo Botero del Banco de la Republica - Before reaching Plaza de Bolívar, a visit to the museum of one of Colombia’s most representative artists, Botero, will be made. Not only will his work be appreciated, but also his vast collection of painters from various regions and different avant-garde styles. The museum is situated in what used to be his home, a large estate adjacent to the Casa de Moneda and the Luis Ángel Arango Library.
• Plaza de Bolivar de Bogota - The tour will conclude here, admiring the various buildings that make up the center, including the Palace of Justice, the Capitol, and the Cathedral. Discussions about the origins of this beautiful place and the different historical moments it has witnessed will be held.
